What I want to see in next year

10-take advantage of the picks we got, please pick someone good, I love Jimmer, but would he be good for the jazz?

9. Get rid of Fesenko! and use that draft pick to get a really good big man

8. Gordon Hayward step it up as a six man.  After seeing him after d will left he has serious potential

7. If CJ does not stay consistant next year let him go. C.J. my man you scored 40 points whats up man?

6. Okur retire- your too injured and you won;t be the same ever again

5. Ty Corbin for Best Coach (deserves it)

4. Big Al or Millsap MVP (serious if they can lead the jazz to the playoffs)

3. Jazz Divisional Champions (like it always should be)

2. Jazz Conference Champions (dethrone the west)

1. Jazz NBA Champions(do what Malone and Stockton couldn’t)

Hmm. You could have added this to the last post of this kind. I agree with your 10. There isnt a Big worth wasting our picks on, except maybe Kanter. I’d hate to see Kanter sitting the bench, but he would be the big coming off the bench. 8. Hayward should be starting not a 6th man.. CJ should get one last chance being a bargain at his price even when he is inconsistant. Okur, is debateable. With all the time off he has had, he could possibly bounce back near 100 percent. The guy works hard. If he cant, then hopefully he retires..

Ty Corbin deserves it? Not as of yet. Heck we thought Sloan deserved it and never got it, and Ty isnt in that league yet. You may see MVP out of one of them, but probably another season down the road. You may be a little early on the 3, 2, 1 as well. I love the want and desire but you should not be so unrealistic as to let yourself get bummed out when most doesnt come through..

Ty Corbin deserves best coach? Maybe he deserves ‘crappiest situation’, but I haven’t seen anything yet to put him in that category. I’ll see what I think after a full season of work (which might not even be next year…it may be a half season or no season at all).

As far as Fesenko, he’s a good value for a 3rd-string Center. No, he’s not your starting 5, nor is he even your backup 5. He is your fill-in in case of extreme fouls or injuries, and he’s paid and contributes at exactly that level. So you keep him. What you need is an actual backup Center. Whether that’s a recovered Okur (who makes $9M and can contribute at that level), or a new draft-pick or traded piece.

Hayward should probably be our starting 2 over both CJ and Raja. Raja should be moved. CJ should be given one last chance for next year.

I doubt Big Al or Millsap become MVP. Let’s shoot for ‘All-Star’ first.

If we can contend for the division championship, I’ll be happy. Just contend. Win some games vs Denver/Portland/OKC. Make the playoffs.

10- Surely need someone good in the Draft. I’m one of the many who would love to draft Jimmer. I heard the critics. No defense, takes too many shots, ect ect. But if he can come in and create shots and drop 3’s when we need him. Something CJ Miles and Raja Bell have failed to do consistently. Then I’m all for it. Plus if his shot doesn’t fall he takes it to the rim and creates contact with his big body. He’s a smart tough basketball player.

    9. No big men in the draft… Kanter? Basically an even trade off. We’re pretty big already. Drop Elson and Okur and possibly sign Kanter. But I’m not huge on drafting BIG this year with whats available.

    8. Gordan Hayward is a starter. Should be one next year. He’s a better defensive player, hustles more, and is more consistent then Raja and CJ Miles combined. The only problem though is I think he gels better with Earl Watson and the bench players of Favors and Evans. Harris I think brings down Haywards game. Hayward needs more touches and ball control. He doesn’t get that from Harris.

    7. Trade Cj Miles for a sandwich. Dude gets high praise when he plays well and then gets all the “he’s young still and can improve and only get better”. Also under that category Fesenko. What have they been doing? Failing miserably year in and year out. Lucky 40 point games once every 3 months or more doesn’t cut it. Let him go or trade him next year.

    6. Everyday I get more frustrated with the Jazz organization for resigning Okur a couple seasons ago. Been getting paid 10 million for nothing this year. He’s always has injury issues then add a legitimate achilles injury on top of that. He’s done for. He needs to retire or we need to trade his expiring contract for cash or anything we can get from him.

    5. Ty Corbin has been in the right place at the wrong time. He’s a great coach and should do well for the Jazz, but he took on some unbearable loads mid season. I’m sure he can do great but best coach in his first full season when Jerry couldn’t get one in his 23 years.. pretty unlikely. But would love to see it happen.

    4. Millsap and Jefferson will really have to work on their assists to get MVP honors. They can score. Jefferson actually seemed consistent too till the last 5 games. Jefferson has already carried this weight through much of the season after Dwill was traded. I like Al Jefferson as a MVP candidate but in this league unless we win 60+ games next year it is a fairy tale.

    3. We can be divisional champs. I sure hope we do it.

    2. Don’t see us as western champions, but I guess it’s likely in some way. I hope for that too.

    1. GO JAZZ!

There isn’t a big man better than Fes in this draft. Using a lottery pick of all things is the worst idea in the world.
Get a point guard and a shooter. I know the critics but I think Jimmer can be a consistent scorer off the bench.

Resign C.J and Fes Fesenko’s contract is 1.08 million dollars and that is a steal! We should be lucky that such a big body is wanting to stay for that little money. He creates a presence and shows he can play(refer to him destroying Bynum)

C.J loves the Jazz with all his heart and doesn’t want to go anywhere else through thick and thin. As fans we want players to stick with us through the good times and the bad no matter what. C.J has his ups and downs but wants the courtesy we would expect from a superstar when it came time to resign. Let’s give it to him.

Resign Watson. For god sakes don’t sign anymore old people. Raja was the biggest mistake ever. We should have forked out the cash for Wes and now when Jeremy Evans becomes a restricted FA someone is going to offer him more than we can pay and they Jazz will say “oh well, we will just replace him with Shaq, that’ll work, hurp durp” and watch a talent at the beginning of his career walk away.

  5. Jay Ericksen says:

I dont understand why CJ is takin so much slack . He is playin his heart out for us . Sometimes I think he is tryin to hard to make things happen . You cant knock a guy for tryin . I beleive that he will get it all figured out next year . He is an important piece to the puzzle .
I also like how Gordan Hayward is playin defense , he is comin along nicely .
I hope that Okur can play well enough to at least give our bench a lift .
As far as Big Al and Milsap , they both are workin hard for us , but i agree if we cant win at least 50+ games they will never get MVP . As well as Coach Corbin gettin Couch of the year .
If we can get some players that can fill our needs then I see no reason why we couldnt contend for divisional championship next season , but I would be surprised if we got the Western Conference or NBA Champs next season . But that is a posibility in the next couple of years if the players we have can gel together . We already have a good group of guys now when they learn eachother out .
