My thoughts from attending the pro am classic

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

First, I have not seen an offseason in recent history that the players have worked so hard on their fitness.  Very impressive.  I know you always hear about how this player hit the weight room, and that player added fifteen pounds of muscle, but it really did happen this summer.

Big Al looked like he was in great shape, and looked more explosive.

CJ did not look like a marshmellow anymore, in fact he looked really fit and faster.

Favors was the most impressive, as he looked like his shoulders had doubled in size.  Literally . . . dude is going to be unstoppable moving forward.

The other players, Harris, Millsap, Price, Watson, Evans, were themselves, which is a good thing, since they are always in good shape anyways.  Would have liked to see Evans gain some muscle.

The rookies looked great.  I guess it is since I am a Kanter homer, but I thought he was impressive.

Burks was a different animal altogether.  He might be rookie of the year when all is said and done.  The knock I keep hearing on him is that he can not shoot from range.  I saw a perfect shot, and I believe he shot 5/7 from downtown.  He was spectacular.  Now we just need to see if he can play defense.
