Luxery Tax Issue? Clippers

Posted by: Patrick on February 20th, 2013

I heard a rumor on the wind that there was a luxury tax issue preventing a trade. What could that be. In the rumor they talked about how Burks had to be a part of a deal that would hurt that. Could this be a sign?

Al and Burks for Jordan and Bledso? That would fit in the rumor. hmmmm. wish I was a fly on the wall..

  1. If Burks goes Ill be upset! Why load up the Clippers? play hard ball Jazz. send Millsap to Clips and Al somewhere else! Plus I wouldnt want Jordan for 3 years.

  2. John says:

Why trade burks for bledsoe? Burks can play the point just as well and has more of an offensive game

  3. Marcus says:

You guys are nuts thinking burks can play the point better. Seriously. The man hasnt relly played the point. And Bledsoe is a natural. And Jordan does what Al refuses to do… PLAY DEFENSE!”!!

  4. fyi I dont want him at the point. I prefer him at sg and Hayward at sf.

  5. disco says:

Jordan has a worse shot than Watson

  6. Don’t worry. Jazz won’t make ANY trades. Even Raja Bell will remain on our team.

Mark Lindsey is doing a great KOC impersonation!

  7. Dennis Lindsey. Whatever his name is.

  8. Austin says:

Did anyone hear what he was saying the other night at the golden state game? He seems to not like the name of the core 4 and he seemed to push the questions away about what’s gonna happen today?

  9. KCJones says:

He doesn’t like the core4??!! Dennis Linsey is a secret traitor spy for San Antonio and hates our team is the only logical conclusion.

  10. Austin says:

No he said he don’t like that name u need to talk about the team as a whole

  11. The team as a whole meaning Al Jefferson?

  12. Austin says:

Exactly nick if they don’t ship al I’m gonna be mad we could be so much better with favors and kanter

  13. Omar says:

Al is the Jazz franchise player……for Jazz FO, its like a Lakers trading Kobe, OKC Durrant, Knicks Melo, etc…..uughh.

  14. Austin says:

Looks like the deadline came and went like nothing this franchise is average at best and will never win till there is a new owner

  15. Omar says:

Uuuhhhh….. I guess this means we are using our cap space to overpay mediocre vets this summer?!

  16. KCJones says:

YES! The Jazz have loads of capspace! This is going to be AWESOME!

Next move of course, is signing overpriced mediocre vets in free agency, or better yet, bring back the vets who carried us ALL the way to an 8th seed and a sweep last year. Then, Corbin will play them in front of our young guys who have more potential but need development court time for ANOTHER year.

This is so perfect, I’m so excited. Let’s take another swirl around the perpetual doldrums of mediocrity that is the 6th-10th seed. WHEEEEEEE!

  17. Omar says:

    Lmao KC!!!

What a damn bust! Oh ya, Portland gave up a draft pick for Maynor?! Jazz have two first round picks and we couldnt get Maynor??!!

Jazz love Watson and Al waaay too much.

And people gave me heat cuz I said Al was the Jazz franchise player. Al is the franchise player resign to about 6M. Jazz must be thinking Mo is the future PG for the Jazz.

  18. Austin says:

Front office don’t care what we think they just want the bonus to be in the playoffs we need to be heard this is ridiculous

  19. disco says:

Ok, I will start by saying that I was initially very disappointed about the lack of trades by the Jazz. I cant see the Jazz record being any different with Al or Millsap gone. The more you look at the lack of trades around the league, especially with expiring contracts, the more you wonder about the new landscape under the CBA. Noone wants to be tied down by big contacts. Someone mentioned the Jazz would have to give up Burks in the Clippers trade, so pass on that one, the rumoured Twolves trade, we dont need another SF as Marvin will take his option and I dont think the SA trade waslikely to happen as the Jazz roster couldnt take a plus one. I am willing to give the FO the benefit of any doubt and hope they let Sap and Al walk over the summer and sign a 3rd player for the front court rotation, as well as letting Mo walk and sign Calderon. He is a starting Calibre PG and all the “contenders’ already have starting calibre PG so there is a chance. (Patty Mills signed as 2nd string)
