Meet
Millsap for 3!

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz. Its hard to fault Millsap. The guy gives everything he has and doesn’t complain. He just is so blasted short for a power forward. I love this guy, but he doesn’t always have the upper hand on defense because of his size. That being said, I feel that if Millsap were to extend his offensive game, he would be an even greater problem for teams to deal with. Paul needs to start working on his 3 point shot. We’ve all seen that he can make it, maybe he needs to spend just a wee bit more time out there and spread the defense in the process. If necessary, he seems to have a pretty good handle on the ball, he can take it inside as well. His skill set doesn’t end there, he can pass pretty well too. The guy seem to be a “jack of all trades,” the only thing he seems to have mastered is hustle and effort. Invaluable commodities in any athlete. I may have overlooked something, but what do you think?

If we can get an athletic big like Perry Jones in this years draft, Millsap could play more SF! Improving his 3 point shot would accelerate his transition to the SF position where he would dominate! Starting Jefferson, Favors/Millsap with rookie Perry Jones coming of the bench… is an interesting proposition/very enticing!
Paul Millsap is Mr. Hustle/now a major component of this team. He was a great second round pick/a better pro.
He is just awesome. 3 point shooter, sure, that would be great too. Maybe they could and should have a 3 point course for everyone this off season. All our shooters could use it. I would like to see Evens develop one as well.
Then we could have a rebounding course.
Dont forget a defense course. We have two players who were awesome at defense at one time, no reason we cant share the wealth..
Not being sarcastic, It would be nice to see everyone work at many different things.. I think your correct on the 3 point shooting for him though.
I wish you could teach heart. Because Milsap and Al could teach that class. Then we would be a complete unstoppable force. Once we got someone to bribe the refs to call the games both ways..
I like the way Paul Millsap went one on one, and got fouled in the final play of regulation against New Oreleans. He has good ball handling skills. It seems like almost every night, he shows me a new wrinkle to his game that I wasn’t sure he had. I’d like to see him shoot a couple more three point shots, but I wouldn’t want him to get carried away with it. I like it better as a “secret weapon” that he uses when the time is right.
I’ve been saying this for a while now. Paul should play at the 3. He is about the same size and has as much athleticism as Ron Artest, and should be able to stay in front of guys. Paul has the ball handling and passing ability to play out on the wing.
Paul would utterly wreck 3’s under the basket providing the bigs can draw their defenders out to 15 feet or so. I don’t think he would be as much of a liability defensively in that spot and Utah is desperately in need of a tough wing player.
If I’m Corbin I play Millsap at the 3 about 10 minutes a game from here on out and find out how he does. This, of course, would make more room for Favors as well.
