Posted by: Brian H on September 1st, 2010
The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz. What a Joke, this clown ANDREW MACALUSO must be from Dallas.
I really enjoyed how everyone slams him in the comments.

Deron Williams says:
Great article Andrew! I turned down playing at Texas to move to freezing Illinois to play college ball. I can definitely do the same to the Mavs…and have you ever been to San Diego? Absolutely wonderful and I get to hang with Ron Burgundy all the time! If I go anywhere, I may go to Europe and play with Fesenko…he is so good around the basket and has the hands of a young Greg Ostertag. Overall though, I am happy in Utah…put your worries to rest Jazz fans.
Sincerely,
Deron Williams
Seeing that are team is better than last year (Jefferson is bigger and better post than Boozer. Bell is cheap upgrade to Mathews. Hayward will turn out great in place of Korver with better shooting and exponentially better defense.)
Plus with Tomic more than likely coming over in 2011, the Jazz will have a great supporting cast surround Deron.
I Just don’t see him leaving, even though I’m extremely biased in this matter. lol. The Jazz could be machines this year, and definately next year!
Dime Magazine has run dry, their writers are out of crap to write about.
Hey I don’t know if anybody noticed this but the idiot that wrote that article didn’t actually write it. He copied and pasted it from ESPN. Those are not his words. What an idiot.
those comments are so funny, what an idiot
It’s gone viral:

it seems like each story has been misquoted as they play “heard it through the grapevine” here.
this guy is an idiot if he thinks that Dallas is better than Utah. Deron has a much better chance to win here than in Dallas. But Andrew Hayward will never be a better shooter than Korver.
What an idiot. Never had a good PG? Yes he has Nash in his prime. What else could he of asked for? Deron is in my opinion the best PG in the league. And in 2012 who knows who will still be in Dallas. Only ones guaranteed is Dirk, Marion, and Haywood. And those guys will all be 33+ in age by then. Then you have Alexis Ajinca, Roddy Beaubois, and Dominique Jones. Sounds like quit the team. When we’ll be rolling with a much better and YOUNGER all-star cast. I’m sure he’d love to be in Dallas a bigger market. But even with all of Cubans money and the cities stature they have nothing to show for it in recent years. Besides playoff chokes. I’m not ruling Deron leaving but to Dallas… I say nay for the most part.
here’s another similar story I found on bleacherreport a month or so ago, this ppl are so stupid

Ha yeah right. Deron’s not going anywhere
Elijah…who is Andrew Hayward? If you mean Gordon Hayward, he is going to be a much better player than Korver. Korv was way too one dimensional. And Dallas is not better than Utah. After this year when Deron realizes how great of a fit AJ is all this talk of him leaving will end.
YES OF COURSE!!!! Lets leave young Utah and go to OLD DALLAS! PERFECT!
The Jazz should offer Deron Williams at the end of the season an extension. The new or eventual CBA will most likely drop the max down from $16 million to $12 million, which is what the rumors are. With the pending lockout and the eventual CBA now is the time to get money. That’s why you see the busy free agent market and people seeking the most money now! That’s why you hear Melo saying he wants to sign the extension and then immediately be traded. He won’t get that much dinero later! The current CBA expires June 30, 2011, free agency next year begins the next day…if nothing is worked out then the lockout will begin, so Deron could sign an extension on June 30. I have heard that the NBA can extend the current CBA a year and have until December to decide that. However, the NBA lost $400 million last season. They want to bring down the costs with a new and less money, CBA. All of this means that if the Jazz offer Deron an extension at the end of the season he’ll get the most money NOW on a competitive team. Just some thoughts I’ve had though.
Ridiculous article. Dirk will be 34. Not Dallas.
On to more serious matters. Unless we suddenly make the conference finals and take the lakers to a serious series, he will probably be gone, if his priority is winning a title (can’t blame him..). Or, he goes for the loyalty factor, and stays with Utah forever.
More and more now players are being judged by titles. That’s just the trend. And players want to look good in history. Deron may want the same.
Andrew Hayward? WTF?! seriously.
