HOPE WE CAN HOLD ON!

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.I have been a Jazz fan since I shot out of the wombe, and this is for sure the most excited I have been since we went to our last finals. I cannot believe the level of raw talent and potential that we have with this ball club, I feel that if we keep the core players together if at all possible,, Milsap, Jefferson, Favors, Burks, Kanter, Hayward, and build around them, we could be finals contenters in the next 3 to 4 years if not sooner, Exspecialy Kanter we need to do everything in our power to keep him in utah, this kid is AMAZING, a career high one night in rebounds, fallowed by a career high in points the next, he is just starting to find his game, in the next couple of years he could easily be the most dominant big man in the league, no joke, its easy to see. Burks,,,this kids athletic ability is off the charts and I promise you the first 11 teams that could have had him are kicking themselves right now, Hayward is as solid as they come, I hear a lot of people talking about his consistency, lets not forget its only his second year. The sky is the limit and I can hardly contain my excitement. I just fear that in the next few years as so many times in the past we will lose most if not all of these players, unless something changes some how or some way, C.J. Miles and Kirilenko are the only 2 players I can think of since Stockton to play there entire careers in Utah, I hope we can convince Favors and Burks and milsap and Kanter and Jefferson and Hayward to stay and be a championship team,,I think the only realistic possibilities for any of them staying in the fashion of Kirilenko and Miles,,would be Kanter and Hayward,,I am anxious to see what this team will do in the next couple of seasons, my Favorites are in order…KANTER, BURKS, FAVORS, HAYWARD iim talkin about the young guns, Jefferson and Milsap go without saying (hope I am proved wrong but think a new coach would be beneficial) GO JAZZ,,thank you Kevin O’connor for keeping us in the hunt, hope we can hold on.

I agree with one exception. New coach, definately. I love Ty the same way i loved Sloan. Its just hard to see them bench the hot player time and time again. Its frustrating to claw back to within 5 with 3 or 4 minutes left and then bench the guys who have momentum. I think we should do everything to keep Kanter, Favors, Hayward and Burks. I think Millsap wants to be here and for the money he makes he is a bargain. He is by far my favorite Jazz man. He contributes every night. Big Al is the one i want to see bow out. He just slows down the team too much. They are young and have lots of speed and he (along with Bell) is the slow man out there. His defense is solid but he doesnt pass out of a double team like he should and is probably our biggest defensive gap.
Don’t forget Favors on your post yeah kanter had career nights but so did Derrick and he had more production. Not to mention he played out of position. You put Kanter at center and Favors at the 4 and they would end up bein one of the top frontlines in the league. You’re right though about keeping them if they don’t start gettin more significant time, especially after this weekend, they’re gonna wanna go elsewhere. I’d like to keep Millsap too but as a backup to Favors, Derrick just has too much ceiling and plays such good defense. Paul makes his few good plays a night but you give Favors 30-35 minutes and Paul 16-18 minutes and good things will happen. I used to live in Georgia and followed Favors in college and was so stoked when we traded for him. This kid was dominating in the ACC at 17. Jefferson has to stay too I know he doesn’t flow with the offense sometimes but he has the size. Favors did good against Bynum the other night but he should’ve been playing Gasol! The only reason he wasn’t is cause his counterpart is an undersized 4( I know I get it he plays with a lot of heart and you guys like him blah blah) but the fact is he’s too small even if he does have a good game against another 4 and everyone says wow look how he outplayed the bigger guy. Jefferson has to stay just so we can have some length off the bench when there two kids finally take over. Which is hopefully soon.
Imagine if this kids stay in this team 2 or 3 more years. WOW, congratulations KOC nobody hate u more.
