Not a BIG fan of the Spurs trade.

I’m not a big fan of helping the spurs get better. I would rather make a trade with a eastern team.  from the rumors I’ve read we don’t even get a promising p.g.  i say we get a p.g. back or don’t trade Milsap or Jefferson. And id rather trade big AL  he is the only big last night that didn’t have a block Kanter 5 Milsap 4 favors 3 and hes the reason the offense starts out so slow they pass him the ball down low and every one waits for a pass out when there’s no one cutting because they know he will not pass them the ball.    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bcggo8k

    The link did not work it was Big Al to the bobcats for Ramon Sessions and Ben Gordan.

    Cory Joseph and Patty Mills are mentioned in this trade. Both point guards. Mills is a veteran and Joseph has much promise.

  3. I actually think Al hurts the system they run!

    I don’t think he hurts them i think he could put them over the top. He has a man crush on Tim Duncan and the spurs. with Pop and Tim already having the leader ship on lock down i think Big Al would play great with Tim and Tony.

    I do think he would help the Spurs. In that system and with the players they have, all he would be is an extra piece, used mostly for his scoring when needed but expected by Pop to work much harder on defence. And if it didn’t work out for him, the Spurs would be clearing cap space with his 15 million contract up at the end of the season. The Spurs definitely wouldn’t be using him as the main point of the offense and teams wouldn’t be able to target him as the weak link in the defense like they can at the Jazz, he wouldn’t have that same role.

    IF the Spurs do this trade, which I still think is unlikely – I don’t think he is a Pop type of player, they do it for 3 reasons, it moves a few players on this season that aren’t seen to have big roles in the future, they do so to have an extra scoring dimension in the playoffs, and they have that $15million cap space at the end of the season and space on the roster to make some changes next season.

    Jefferson would come off the bench in SA. No way he and Duncan can play together, Jefferson needs a Chandler or Ibaka for him to be the most effective.

    @LK, if Patty Mills is a veteran at 24, i’m a very old man………..
