ESPN 5 for 5 trade talk

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

Not sure How I feel for these ideas, but they were 2 of the 5 best trades for the Celtics, mind you not best for Utah but best for Celtics while giving Utah something back in return that holds some sort of value.

What do you guys think?

Han: Pierce to the Jazz for Al Jefferson and a first-round pick (lower of two available). Boston moves some long-term money and pairs Garnett with another legitimate low-post big man in Jefferson, the former Celtic who was once traded for Garnett. Not only do the Celtics plan for the future with a first-round pick, this trade also gives them a stylistic advantage in the smaller East.

Harris: Paul Pierce to Jazz for Paul Millsap and Marvin Williams. The Celtics get Pierce’s temporary replacement in Williams and a stud power forward in Millsap. Pierce would give the Jazz a much-needed 3-point shooter while moving Millsap clears up their logjam at power forward.

One thing I want to add is that viewing it in the trade machine has Utah losing multiple wins.

Pierce has no way of being part of a trade coming to SLC. Jazz hang up the phone loudly in Danny’s ear. They’d much rather have the cap space to sign a UFA, or resign Paul or Al.

Pierce is on a steep downward slope, at a high salary.

Will Celtics trade their first round pick for Al???

  5. John says:

The Celtics have already given up a first round pick for him

I think Kanter has been regressing lately because he hasn’t been getting the time he needs. Were putting a hault on his progress. Al needs to go, and i don’t care for who or what

Jefferson to Orlando for a big bag of Skittles and tickets to Disneyworld.
