now that would be awesome if the jazz averaged over 126 points a game!
i know that will be so cool
Here’s what i think.
Deron 20.6 ppg 11.1 Ast 4 reb
Jefferson 19.2ppg 12 reb 1.8 blks
Milsap 15.3ppg 9.8 reb
Miles 13.9ppg 4 reb
AK 12.1ppg 6 reb 4 ast
Okur 11.4ppg 5 reb
Bell 8.9ppg 1.2 stl
Hayward 8.8ppg 3.3 ast
Price 5.3pgg 2.5 ast
Thats the major players, and that averages out to be about 113 ppg. which isn’t crazy at all. Jefferson and Williams may flip flop in points, but i really believe Dwill is gonna average 11 ast a game.
Also rebounds is probably the toughest to estimate. We know milsap is a beast and so is jefferson, so i’m excited to see there numbers. hopefully both average double-doubles… how often do you see that, a team with 3 players averaging double doubles, that would be impressive!
hey steve can i call u stev-o
i mean steve-o
that second video just really makes me miss brewer. If only we picked him up before the bulls did.
2 players over 20, 1 over 15, 4 over 10 and 1 so close at 9……. what do you smoke man ???????
i did not smoke nothing
Both of these projections are pretty ludicrous.
@chris
Here’s last years stats of the major players, all together they averaged 104 ppg. AND lets remember, brewer was traded midseason, so the numbers are a bit off.
Carlos Boozer 78 11.20 3.2 1.08 .46 2.72 3.50 19.5
Deron Williams 76 10.5 1.26 .21 3.32 2.70 18.7
Mehmet Okur 73 1.6 .52 1.11 1.74 3.10 13.5
Andrei Kirilenko 58 4.60 2.7 1.43 1.22 1.36 1.80 11.9
Paul Millsap 82 1.6 .78 1.21 1.41 3.50 11.6
C.J. Miles 63 1.7 .92 .27 1.29 3.00 9.9
Wesley Matthews 82 2.30 1.5 .78 .18 1.13 1.90 9.4
Kyle Korver 52 2.10 1.7 .50 .23 .81 1.50 7.2
Ronnie Price 60 1.20 2.1 .67 .22 .93 1.80 4.3
i don’t think 113 ppg is outta reach. I’ll give memo and milsap -2 ppg, so that’d put milsap at 13 ppg and memo at 9.
I think this team is much better offensively than last years squad. i think the floor will be spread a bit more with jefferson in the low post and milsap on the weak side post. That will allow dwill to work his magic and the shooters to spot up outside. BUCKETS
@david
yeah man you can call me steve-o
You thinking the Jazz will become the best team in NBA history? The record for team PPG in a single season is 126.5 set by the Denver Nuggets in 81-82. Last season’s high was the Phoenix Suns with 110.2. With 104.2 PPG last year, the Jazz were the 4th highest. Dave your total is 126.2 and Steve your total so far is 115.5, which would be close to 118 if you add the rest of the team. Come back to earth please. If the Jazz get anywhere above 105, I’d be ecstatic. I don’t mind scoring 104 PPG. That’s a great number.
