The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Supposedly Dennis Lindsey is a statistical analysis type. I wonder what key stats he looks at in evaluating players. I searched out basketball-reference.com and decided I liked the “per 36 stats” (the projected numbers a player would have if he played 36 minutes). It seemed like an accurate depiction of what players could do if they got a good chunk of minutes.
Core 4 Pts Reb Ast
Burks 14 5 3
Favors 15 11 1
Hayward 18 4 3
Kanter 16 10 1
4 others
Al 19 11 2
Paul 17 9 3
Mo 15 2 8
Marv 13 5 1
The “other 4″ out score the “Core 4″ by 1. Core 4 out rebounds by 4. Assists aren’t really close, but the Core doesn’t have a point guard either. Common Jazz make a move!

nice! I like your analysis. I think the no brainer difference maker is defense. C4 is much better from the other 4 defensively
Lets just call them the O4 and the C4. I actually would like to keep Marvin. He plays great defense on opposing wings, can hit threes, can post up. Solid player.
We can have a team full of circus clowns or a team full of all stars. Won’t make much difference as long as the bufoon-in-chief is the head coach.
If we had Favors, Kanter, Kidd-Gilchrist, Kyrie Irving, and Damian Lillard on the team, can you guess who our starters would be? Mo, Foye, Marvin, Millsap, Jefferson. It really does make zero difference. The only time substitutions actually make sense is when injuries FORCE Corbin to make a decision. And even then it isn’t HIM making the decision. It’s the only possible choice. I HATE being so negative about this team because I love most of our roster (except Bell and Watson), but it is too painful watching Corbin make an a** of himself all the time.
