Just to mix things up a little bit so we can talk about something positive that’s related to basketball.  Here is a link to a performance of Alec Burks this summer in the Indy Pro-Am League.  Below I’ve attached a link to the interview of the man running the pro-am league along with some highlights of Alec.  Apparently he was one of the most impressive guys in the entire league.  The part of the interview that mentioned Alec is as follows:

SLAM: Who would you say has made the biggest impression on you this summer?

CK: There have been a lot of guys, but if I had to choose two, I’d say Alec Burks and Lance Stephenson.

With Burks, I figured he had game, but he looks years ahead of his age. His jumpshot is absolutely crazy and he has a unique ability to create off the dribble. I honestly didn’t realize how athletic he was. He’s averaged around 27 points.

I think that this kid is flying under the radar and he’s going to surprise a lot of you and everyone else at how good he really can be.  I had a chance to watch him at a home game this last year and the kid is something to get really excited about.  This could be the elite scoring, go-to atheltic 2-3 guard that is VITAL and KEY in the NBA in order to win the ’ships!  Watch the clip.
