Just a quick NBA LP question.

Hello fellow Jazz fans,

this goes for international LP. Last year I bought one team + full playoffs. This year, right now, I can only get All teams LP , which is more expensive of course. So any idea if there will be a single team LP available this year as well or was that offer based on last year’s lockout season only. Last year was the first time I bought LP.

I would like to watch pre-season games on LP, but I am not really interested in other games, besides jazz.  And I want to get a better bargain as well :)  Should I wait and miss pre-season games or just go for it now at the cost of possibly higher price?

Does any of you have any knowledge on this topic? Thanks for advice in advance.

I have ZERO clue what it is that you’re even talking about.

I dont know about international League Pass, but in the States, my sorry provider never shows preseason games so I look for them online, and sometimes even into the season cuz my cable provider cough cough Tme Warner cough, is a pretty horrible cable provider.

Hopefully its working prefectly by November 7: Lakers @ Jazz!!!

The TV setup for sports is ridiculous. I want to watch Jazz games. I got my money in my hand. Here it is, ready to give to you, NBA. So I go to sign up for League Pass and ALL the games are blacked out because I live in the Jazz’ market. Yet if I lived in Michigan, or Florida, or overseas, I could watch them all.

No, I have to sign up for Dish or DirecTV or Comcast and pay for all their other crap that I can get readily over the internet or netflix for way less just so I can watch my local sports team play. Sounds like collusion and price-fixing to me.

Most sports do that. They black out their markets until the games sold out

They don’t want you to watch the game, they want you to go to them.

Then they can lower ticket prices. There’s more than one reason people don’t go to games.

  6. As for league pass I have never seen the ability to only pick one team. Every year I have gotten it I have to get all games. But I agree with you I too only care about watching the Jazz so I wish they did have something like that. The only other way to get the games on LP cheaper is through broadband. It is some $60 cheaper but you can only watch it on your computer and you select 5 teams.

    Good luck and go Jazz

  7. I was planning on buying League Pass, online only (I don’t have cable–If I did I wouldn’t need league pass). Is it just with TV that the games are blacked out, or does that go for watching online as well?

If that’s the case, why would anyone in their right mind buy League Pass? Is it only good if you don’t live in the local area?

even the 5 team option would be great, but I am not sure that is available in Europe. all I can get at the moment is all teams for 103 EUR or something like that.

I guess my one team only option I bought last year was only due to lockout :( who knows…

Damn you NBA, I don’t care about your bobcats – raptors stuff! :)

I am living in France and renewed my International LP last week. As for last year, the options were : all the seasons’ games or the same + playoff games.

Two years ago, some games were blacked out because they were also transmitted through french TV (Canal + company). But since last year, no blackout applies … unsure if a blackout situation was really compatible with french laws on concurrency (since you must pay to watch canal +). I know my ILP works in Spain under the same conditions as I go there for christmas every year.

  10. Good question! I would really like to know myself as well. The International League Pass is different than the American one because over here they don’t broadcast so many games on television. I’m only interested in Jazz games and therefore hope I can still have the option to buy International League Pass only for one team. Just like last year..
If someone knows about this please share it with us! ;)

2 years ago I got all the games on international league pass whether they were shown on Australian TV or not. If it is different this year Im not going to be happy
