Even though i like our young talent, but I really dont see milsap jeff and favors all here next year. with all our young talent, we are looking like the twolves not the thunder. all our best players play the same position. Not to mention okur, jeremy evans and fes.with all these big men, we need 3 point shooting BAD…If koc is smart, he would bait someone with our young talent and get us a real3 point shooter, and a defensive/rebounding center, and put jeff back at PF. hes 6 11 a good 6 11 or 7 foot center wouldnt hurt us. LA wouldnt be the only ones to have lenght. Its weird to say but the future got brighter when we traded dwill. the present might be gloomy but the future is now better. We have tons of young talent and draft picks, now lets do something with it, because a good gm mind is the diffrence between, the la clippers and th okc thunder.

Your right about most of it. But are you nuts. Why would you think we would trade Milsap or Favors away? The only way I see that happening would be if we were offered a A grade SG. I dont see anyone lining up to give one away. You mentioned Okur, Evans, and Fes. Evans is great to watch, but is not nearly big enough to count as a big man. Fes, will be the likely guy to be looking for another home. Him and Elson probably if Okur is healthy. Okur? Well, he is a 3 point man, but who knows if he will ever come back. He could be a trading peice for a team looking for cap space the following season.
I do agree that we need 3 point shooting. I like how your happy about the future. But with how strong our three bigs are playing, I doubt you will see Al going back to PF. Why should he. Look at his numbers playing Center. yeah, we could use more rebounds, but we are winning the battle of the points in the paint most nights. Would you put Al as our 4 and fes at the 5. You would lose all the points that Favors and Milsap drop due to lack of minutes. All for what, Fes doesnt rebound any better than either one of them. Neither does Elson. Unless we got one heck of a deal, you will see all three of them here next season, and for many seasons to come.
The Jazz has been playing with 3 power forwards in most games: Al, Paul and AK. I am not against this type of dynamics lineup while it can give problems in defending 7 footers. When CJ enters in the line-up for AK because of rotations or injuries, he plays the 3 (and sometimes a 3 settling for jump shots) and the overall line-up goes smaller. In this case we may need a true center.
I think AK is still the big question mark. If he is re-signed at the end of the season, I do not see the need for a true center. If he is not, we will have to address our lack of size by either the draft or a trade or both.
Favors also plays the PF, don’t forget. He’s the same size as Jefferson. I know people like to think AK can play all 4 positions, but he can’t play PF. When a guy like Jefferson, Love, Stoudamire, Gasol, etc. are up against him, he gets nailed.
@adam I disagree. AK is so undersized that those PF’s that you mentioned can push him around. But he has something they DO NOT have, and that is his wiry frame. When they go up, he blocks em. He has freaky length and the ability to swat those low post moves.
Wolves drafted three point guards one year. Jazz have never done that. The only thing similar to them is that we are in the same division. Sap, Favors, and AL are here to stay..
@Patrick, good point, but our 3 bigs arent producing on the defensive end. We gave up 130 points to the Twolves. I like all our bigs, but if they all are the future, then someone is gonna miss out on minutes. Wich brings the 1st question who iks unhappy 1st? Al is the one that will definately not be leaving, but we do need more size, blocks and bounds. Okur and fes are both soft, Evans is the hustle we might need with his athleticism coming off the bench and we need 3 point shooting BAD! What other way to get it than find one in the leauge already. Not an unproven rookie in this years draft. We have the tools to get someone. The team we have now is a good offensive team but where is the 3 and guys where is the D.
