Meet
Dec 15th . Where’s the trades?

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz. Many fans have been looking forward to this day as the day when jazz Might make a move. Dec. 15th is the first day we could trade mo, Marvin, or foye; other teams could trade free agents they signed in the offseason. Greg miller tweeted a vague statement last week that many interpreted as a trade would be coming, plus it’s obvious favors(when healthy) and Kanter are ready for more minutes. Big Al or millsap who should go?
Argument for al: he’s a great go to guy, 1 of 5 center averaging 17 &10, seems to be a great guyand gets along with team and staff, improvements made on passing out of double team, and short stints of attempted defense ( see steal against lakers). Also how cool is it that he is teaching kanter!!! That’s like me training someone to take my job away from me!!!
Argument for millsap:
- if it wasn’t for the last 5-6 games I’d say ship him, but old millsap seems back.
- he plays better team ball, he keeps getting better, he hustles and gives his all more consistently.
Or do we keep both and see how the season goes?
Ive heard seen a lot of trade rumors or suggestions and I don’t like a single one. I don’t want gasol, he’s old and expensive. Calderon would be ok, but what do you do with mo? Give him minutes at the SG? That would steal minutes from GH, DMC and burks…. Not that he’s getting minutes anyways.
Ive rambled too long, thanks for reading Lmk what you think and if anyone has heard of any rumors they like?

Personally I think we should trade Al. He would get the most value right now. Plus I think he messes alot up with the offense. Its more fluid with him out… And we all know about his defense. It also frees up Kanter and Favors to develop into the beasts they are. I would look towards Toronto for a desperately needed back up PG. Plus they got some other good talent in Davis and Derozan. Sounds like they are having a fire sale.
this is the day, espn trade machine just got alot more possibilities added. I don’t like any of the trade rumors I have heard, they all involve giving up too much. I wouldn’t be opposed to trading anyone on the roster except Favors and Kanter if it would net someone like Jrue Holiday… that doesn’t seem very likely though.
I have been thinking more and more that keeping Millsap and Jefferson (and other expiring contracts) all season might be the best way to go. This offseason, only some of the teams will be able to offer free agent contracts, and many teams will be tied up with contracts they are looking to unload. Millsap and/or Jefferson could turn into sign and trades, TPE or highly coveted cap space in a year that big offers will be scarce. It seems boring and conservative, but it is exactly how we picked up Mo and Al for next to nothing. …we could be looking at a team of Kanter, Favors, Hayward, Burks, Marvin, Murphy, Evans, a couple rookies and roughly $45 million to spend! …and please offer DMC an extension already.
I definitely don’t like the idea of trading them away for someone like Gasol, or even Kevin Love. We don’t need another big man, we have two rising stars that need to start(next season at the latest)
@Jazzdependency: I’m pretty sure sign and trades are prohibited under the new CBA.
All we need is consistant players, one day i love Hayward, Millsap, Mo, Foye Williams, etc… and the other day i hate Hayward, Millsap, Mo, Foye Williams, etc… mmmm Watson is always bad…
.
Dont hate on Hayward….he is the new C.J. !!!
The thing about DC. is hes such a fighter. He did horrible in the summer games. But then when the games count, he starts playing like freaking Dennis Rodman.
