Posted by: C-Style on December 20th, 2012

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

I thought it would be fun to learn a little more about some of us fans. Here’s a little quiz, feel free to answer as much or as little as you’d like, thanks.

#1 multiple choice

Which answer best describes your basketball history?

A) grew up playing jr jazz or local rec

C) played high school ball

D)college ball

E) none really, just enjoy watching the jazz

2. How much ball are you playing now?

3. Anybody ever coach school teams

4. Why are you a jazz fan, especially out of state and international fans.  If so why, and have you ever been to a game?

5. Share any cool experiences meeting players or getting into opposing players heads?

    1. A, my buddy and I tried out and got cut 7-10th grade. We were mad so we challenged seniors to 2vs2 money ball $20/game and would win every time. He was way good and I was defender/scrapper. Then in 11-12th we’d go to weber state and set up money ball are biggest organized money game was $200 and we won!!
    2. I play in the CBL (church brawl league ….not really that bad ;-) and a rec league.
    3. Nope, I think football would be way interesting to have all the knowledge of a coach.
    4. I’m local, I attend 2-4 games a year.
    5. Worked at Tom chambers ranch in north Ogden with him. A lot nicer away from it all.

    2. usually 4 times a week. 2 city leagues and then 2 nights of pickup
    3. No, but i would absolutely love to. I personal train a few athletes right now, which is fun, but i would love to teach/coach basketball.
    4. Grew up a jazz fan… will die a jazz fan.
    5. I actually got to play Damian Lillard in some “tuesday night ball at your local church” about 2 years ago. He was just some guy that played at weber back then…. -__- haha

    2. Once a week right now, the weather is too bad and I don’t live in a place with indoor courts.
    3. Coached Jr. Jazz last year, I’ll occasionally take my high school students out to play as well.
    4. Grew up in LA as a Lakers fan, moved to Utah and fell in love with a team that plays team ball. Went to 15ish games last year.
    5. Saw T-Mac about a month ago. Last year had a buddy give a t-shirt he made for Earl Watson to CJ Miles to play messenger boy. He didn’t seem to thrilled but Earl got the shirt. Same friend does business with DMC and his cousin for his tshirts.

  7. Andy says:

More 5. Was at the crucial Phoenix game last year and the section I was in was bantering the hell out of Gortat. Phoenix fans were on a fly-out night as well and got in a bit of a scuffle.

  8. 1 c. Played high school ball in hawaii
D.. walked on the a jc in arizona after got a scholarship to university of hawaii played a few games and blew out my knee
    2. 2 or 3 times a week
    3. Assistant coach at a high school right now
    4. Jazz fan just for how they play. Even when the jazz had superstars on the team the coaching staff enforces team play and hard nose defense. The d has gotten away from then in recent years but, hopefully that will change
    5. Met alot of players but, tje most exciting story i have was playing against kevin love when i was at uh.

  9. Austin says:

  10. disco says:

    1. Played high school ball in Sydney

    2. twice a week

    3. Coaching high school teams

    4. First NBA game I ever watched (!hr highlights game on a saturday arvo as that was all we got in Australia in the 90’s) was a Spurs v Jazz game in 93 I think.I chose to support the Jazz, my mate supported the Spurs and we both have stuck with it ever since

    5. None due to proximity

  11. L.K.Anderson says:

Church ball, city ball. I am only 5-5 and got called for goal tending. (Hand in rim.) Got a standing ovation. It was a black guy that did it. Got plenty of rebounds because when the tall timber got done fighting for the ball I was the closest to the floor and grabed it.
I wrestled in High school and the basketball teams game was postponed due to a snow storm we played them. We were in much better shape so we figured fast break was our best chance. Due to a “No ski” policy on the basketball team their best player turned into a wrestler and we gave them all they could handle.
Later was a referee for both basketball and wrestling.
Old Utah Stars (ABA) fan. Was at one of their championship games. “Chief” was my favorite player.
Have only attended very few Jazz games. Payed bills instead. Used to be a Laker fan until Jazz came to town.
John Stockton will always be my favorite player. This game would be much better if every player took a page out of his book.
