Laker Arrogance Runs Deep

Kobe
We have been called an intermission. We have been called soft. They say we aren’t long enough. They think we are just a minor speedbump on their way to another title. It seems that everybody thinks that the Jazz are just a tiny blip on the ever important radar of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Well I agree with everything they are saying. The Lakers are the coolest team in the world. Their players are so humble and deserve everything they get. They weren’t at all handed the gift of Pau Gasol for nothing by former Laker Jerry West. They don’t work the referees through the media. Their star player doesn’t need to get every call known to man, to be successful. They are a quality team and fanbase, and the Jazz have no stinkin’ chance against them.

If you didn’t read that last paragraph with its intended sarcasm then go back and do so. The point is that I am sick of hearing about the divinity of the Los Angeles Lakers from the national media, LA’s local media, Laker fans, and the smug look on Kobe’s face. I am sick of the whole Laker attitude. Have you ever met a Laker fan and they don’t automatically think they are a better human than you? I think you know what I am talking about.

Let me give you an example of Laker arrogance. Have you ever asked yourself why the Staples Center is so dark when the Lakers play? Well, the answer is simple. The Lakers believe that the way they play basketball is so beautiful that it should be art. So they treat it like art. They dim the lights and light up the stage/court. They then allow their fans to partake of the greatness of basketball through dramatic display. It makes me want to throw up. So even though I am sick of Laker arrogance, I will live with it, because their hubris, this excessive pride, will be their downfall.

It is a mistake to look past this Jazz team. Yes we are down 2 starters, but our new lineup will give the Lakers some problems. We have players that don’t know any better. They are just here to play basketball. The Jazz are one bad quarter away from leading this series 1-0. We have the best point guard in the league. There is nobody that can guard him. Fisher, Brown, Artest, and even Kobe can’t stay in front of D-Will. We have the loudest arena in the league, not like that library/theater the Lakers play in. In the Beehive State, we believe in hard work and getting your hands dirty. We stay away from glitz and glamour of LaLa Land. We are the anti-Lakers and I wouldn’t have it any other way. And at the end of this series, the Lakers will be outworked. That is a result I can live with. So while Kobe is concerned with his little hat and Lamar is trying to Keep up the Kardashians, the Jazz are here to play ball. Get ready!

Please don’t throw up. It would be like their puke yellow colors all over the floor. You don’t want that mess and stench.

I was just looking at the picture.

I think Dan Jones, the ref, is pointing to Kobe and saying, “you, because of your divine righteousness have been translated directly to Heaven.”

He is such a good person ;-)

The Staples Center is so dark so we can’t see the flaws in all the fans’ bad plastic surgery.

Of course, that leaves the perplexing question as to why Jack Nicholson wears shades in there. It can’t possibly be to look cool. He’s looked stupid for years.

Love it! I hate the Lakers with a passion. Its for every reason that you stated in your article. I am still upset about the Gasol gift. (I’ll never call it a trade). The Lakers weren’t going anywhere then Stern and Jerry West got together and pulled off a trade that NO other team in the league would ever be allowed to do. Please, Aaron McKie was coaching for another team. No one could get away but the Lakers.
One of the many many reasons I hate the Lakers. I remember a few years ago discussing the playoffs with a Lakers fan in one of my classes. He was wearing a Lakers t-shirt so I told him you know the Lakers are going to lose to Phoenix right.. I went into great detail why I thought the Lakers would lose. He had no answer he knew nothing about his team except Kobe ruled! He was laughing at me he told me wow I never have heard anyone talk about the Lakers with such hatred in their voice. That made me pretty proud :)

HAHA, I like it! All of those so called “Laker” fans will all be Cleveland fans once the Lakers are knocked off by either us or phoenix…. OR even if they both meet in the finals and Cleveland trashes them…. They are the most predictable classless fans in all of sports…

I didn’t watch the OKC/LA series but I’m pretty sure that if it wasn’t for the refs they would have gone to game seven… I don’t even have to watch LA play to know that Kobe/LA gets all the calls in the world…

I also believe that Stern does not like the Jazz and doesn’t even want the NBA in Utah, which makes his motives even stronger against utah. Especially when they play his favorite team…..

I just think its funny everybody is acting like the Lakers had such an easy time with the Jazz on Sunday. They wiped the floor with Utah didn’t they? Oh wait, they didn’t? They only won by 5 in the closing moments partly because the refs completely forgot they shoved their whistles up their a**es and couldn’t find them to make a half decent call? Give me a break!!!

Also, was it just me or did the Lakers look genuinely tired when Utah’s high energy lineup (lead by Price) went on a run to get back in the game? I don’t think this team would be able to keep up with the Jazz if they would just run it down their throats. I think OKC gave them a harder time than people think.

The Lakers are good, and that’s what makes us hate them. They actually have some talent admist the All-Holiness that just envelops them, making them better than us Jazz Fans. Ok, that was supposed to be sarcastic. The Jazz are going to beat the Lakers in 6 games. We will shock the world by knocking off the imortal lakers.

    AMEN!!

I really am enjoying all this Laker Hatred :) I really just wanna punch Kobe I think it’d make more money than a kissing booth with any of the Kardashians
