  1. just curious why earl is getting so many minutes? This drives me crazy. He cant run offense, cant score,is unathletic, oh and cant score. He’s a liability. I honestly dont think he plays on any other team in the league. His minutes should go to more talented, productive players like Hayward and Burks. Also why does Corbin wait so long to sub him back in? Thoughts?

I ask that question every game……IHNFIdea why he plays, why he is not cut, we already have a 3rd PG, Tinsley. I have been complaining about this since he returned, and ppl point to about two plays were he gets steals and justify his playing time?! I don’t get it!

Favors plays 17 minutes and gets 11 points on 8 shots.
Al plays 34 minutes and gets 14 points on 16 shots?!

Randy Foye is one dimension not a very good defender and gets 32 minutes?! When his shots are not falling like tonight (3-13) less than 25%, he should not be getting 32 minutes.

Kanter only gets 14 minutes?! Trade needs to happen soon. No more Bell, Watson, Al, (an possibly no Millsap depending on trade).

And lets play some damn Burks, Corbin!!

The offense does kind of blow up when Earl is in lately. He’s a better defender than Tinsley, but right now Tinsley is good for the second unit in getting the ball moving to the right place. Kanter and Favors both need a guy to get them the ball, pick and roll with them and Tinsley can do that.

I would assume Watson’s in because he’s a better defender. I’m ok with Watson’s effort, though.

One of the things that makes me scratch my head about Corbin, is you have this deep bench, right? And obviously guys on the first and second unit were lacking energy tonight. Why not try out some of those end of bench guys like Burks and Evans?

Anyway, we sucked tonight at the Suns.

  4. Corbin continues to prove that he is a stubborn coach unwilling to change.
Alec Burks is not great, but he is a firecracker. What do we have to lose by seeing how the kid handles a full quarter of basketball?

I honestly wonder whether our assistant coaches and statisticians are keeping track of and letting Ty know how players are performing in games.

It often seems like Ty only sees the positives in the veterans, and the negatives in the young guys.

How can Corbin justify keeping Randy Foye in the starting lineup when he has such a poor all around game? He is spot up 3 point shooter. That is all. He is not Jeff Hornacek.

RANDY FOYE IS A ROLE PLAYER. You should NOT, under any circumstances, play Randy Foye for more than 20 minutes, unless he is sinking 3 pointers left and right, which is sometimes the case.

Is Ty oblivious to how bad certain players are performing? Isn’t anyone on our coaching staff paying attention to whats going on on the floor, off the ball? Isn’t that what assistant coaches are for?

Hornacek: “Hey Ty. Umm, Just wanted to let you know… Randy Foye has been playing for 20 minutes and has 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 2 turnovers and a foul.”

    Corbin: “He’s a veteran.”

Hornacek: “Sure. Of course he is. But I was just thinking…maybe…you know…we could bench him. Because he is singlehandedly losing the game. Like, if he were playing with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Karl malone right now, his team would still be losing. He’s playing that bad right now.”

    Corbin: “He’s a veteran!”

Syney Lowe: “Yeah, Jeff! Randy Foye is a veteran! WE NEED HIM ON THE FLOOR TO DO VETERAN THINGS IN A VETERAN MANNER! How dare you second guess Ty! Ty is a veteran!”

Horny: “Yeah, umm, so am I. And in my professional opinion, I think we should give some other guys a chance, because there’s no way they can do worse than Foye, Watson, and Mo Williams right now.”

Corbin: ” Veterans! We’ve got a great group of veterans! We need to do a better job of veterans. We need more veterans! They’re aren’t enough veterans on this team for veterans purposes!”

Sydney: “Veterans, veterans veterans! Gimme a V, gimme an E, Gimme a T, gimme an E…”

Horny: “Look. Age and experience can only get you so far, you need the courageousness and swagger of youth to give that extra spark off the bench–”

Corbin: “VETERANS!!!! We’re not paying attention to our veterans! We need to get the ball to our veterans! We need 5 veterans on the floor at all times! We need a veteran mascot! We need veteran cheerleaders! They’re too young! They’re not ready yet!”

“They don’t have enough experience because veterans! We need veteran waterboys! We need veteran jerseys! We need veteran basketball shoes! We need veteran jock straps! We need veteran veterans! Our veterans aren’t veteran enough! Our veterans need to do a better job of being veterans, so that the veterans can out-veteran the other veterans, otherwise the veterans will be veteranized!!!”

Alec Burks: “Coach gimme a chance to prove myself! I can win this game! I just know I can! I feel it! I KNOW I CAN BEAT THE SUNS, BY MYSELF IF NECESSARY! Please just give me one chance! Just one chance!”

Corbin: “Who’s talking?! Are you a veteran?! I didn’t think so! Shut up, Non-Veteran! How dare you speak to a veteran! That’s SO unveteran of you! Get out of my sight! Bring me a veteran!”

@Omar – I’m concerned about your health. I think your head might explode if a trade isn’t made soon. Nick also seems to be going crazy. If Jazz management wont make a trade to make the team better, can they at least make a trade for the health of Jazz supporters. While theyre at it please look for a decent coach to improve the team

  6. @disco Im with them. Give me the happy pills. I cant watch Earl and Foye run around like highschool kids that dont know the play. Launching 3’s when your ice cold and milking the damn shot clock because you cant dribble and penetrate. Im also going to explode if I have to watch Al shoot fadeway 15-20 footers after missing 4 in row with the team already down 10 points.

  7. disco says:

@ Jazzed I agree with them as well, however it seems that the Jazz FO dont watch Jazz games so i felt that maybe we should take a different tact while trying to explain a reason for the trade. Promote Hornacek

  8. Omar says:

LOL! Nick, that might be one if your best!! “Vetern Jockstraps” lol.

@disco, Im thinking class action when we all have mental breakdowns and in up in thr looney-bin! Hahaha.

Watson getting hurt last year helped Jazz make the playoffs, so why hes he even playing this year? The only reason CJ, Howard are not getting PT is cuz they arent sign, not cuz Corbin figured out they are not the best choices for winning. They probably told Bell to stay home so Corbin wont play him.

  9. @Omar: LOL thanks man.
