Brandon Jennings wants out of Milwaukee

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

The rumor websites are reporting that Brandon Jennings says he will not be re-upping with the Bucks… given our current situation I see a perfect opportunity for a trade.

A trade centered around Devin Harris and Brandon Jennings may make a lot sense for both teams, I would gladly send that G.S. pick and the trade exception with Harris to bring in Jennings…

What do you guys think? Would that be enough to get him?

I read he’s looking at ‘big markets’. Utah’s not so big, so we’d be in the same boat as Milwaukee — unable to re-sign him.

    He tweeted:

“Just because I said I’m keeping my options open dont mean I’m leaving Milwaukee…. And idc about the market part!”

It may take more than Harris, I’d consider sending Al for Jennings as well.

Why not throw in Sap and Kanter in on top of that. Not. You guys are over paying. Don’t get me wrong, he may be an ok pick up, but not with the kitchen sink. Would be a difficult one to pull off. His actual value is about the same as Devin’s is, but they are way different salary wise. Good luck with this one.

Maybe it’s just a difference of opinion on a player but i’d saying Brandon Jennings is little better than an “ok pickup”.

How many times have you suggested selling the farm for Ramon Sessions?

  5. Brandon Jennings is really good. Would LOVE to have him. A guy who shoot the ball AND drive to the basket–and do both well. It just depends how much we’d have to give up to get him.

No trades involving Millsap, Jefferson, Favors, or Kanter, as a general rule of thumb. And you’d have to be getting a LOT back for Gordon Hayward.

  6. Sap I think is ok to trade, we need to face it one of the bigs has to go sorry but, I feel it need to be sap. The main reason why is size the other 3 players are big tall and long sap isn’t. And after watching kanter he can rebound just as good as sap can. So your not giving up as much if you trade sap then if you trade any other big. Jennings in utah though not feeling it he is the same kind of player as harris is. He iis a score first guard im scared you get him and we are in the same situation. He will score more for sure but it doesn’t fix are offence at all he doesn’t pass the ball and get it flowing. He looks for his shot first. That doesn’t fit in utah.

As was stated he wants to go to a BIGGER market. Sorry buy SLC is not bigger..

Dave, good memory partially, or poor one. Never sent out more than I got in return except when I was showing people how poor their decisions might be. I didnt say I was against him, your looking at it wrong. You want to give up 19 mil (Devin and trade exception) for a guy who makes 3.5 mil? You are way overpaying.. Try the trade machine if you think I am wrong. They would have to toss something else in for filler. Then we would have one season before the bidding war for him started. A nice test drive, and plenty of time to convince him to stay with this improving team. So as I said, unlikely.. There is his talent coming up next season in free agency, why make a gamble now.
