I need stats and just about anything from these guys. Who is Trey Gilder, Keith Mcleod, Paul Carter, and Scottie Reynolds. They are on our roster, Trey and paul are forwards and Keith and Scottie are PG. We don’t  need any more PG so I wonder why the jazz picked them up. Anyway and stats would be AWESOME!

They are for training camp only. Point guards were there before Watson signed. They will be gone in a week. It has been brought up that teams can dress thirteen players until Feb. So this year I hope they keep fourteen. That player would have a non guarentee contract.

LK is Correct, they are on Non guaranteed contracts and could be cut by the beginning of the season. But they could keep as many as 15 players. In the past we usually had a roster of 14 players. Currently we have 13 players under contract who will be here until the they are traded or though the end of the season.

4 – 5 Jefferson, Okur, Millsap, Favors, Kanter (Evans)
3 Miles, Hayward, Howard, Evans (Millsap)
2 Bell, Burks (miles, Hayward, Howard)
    1 Harris, Watson (Burks, Bell)

Evans, Miles, Okur, and Howards Contracts are all up at the end of this season.

This season is different. As the season is condensed teams may fly with more players to keep everyone fresh and rested and to keep injuries at a minimum. You may see the Jazz run with 15 players, since any of the above will come at a very small price tag.

Watch for us to possibly keep a younger player or two if they perform since we have resigned Watson. We don’t need any old players taking up roster spots if there are younger players who could grow and become players in the league (Tinsley). If say a Carter and Reynolds performed it may be worth keep one or both around for a bit to give us some youth. I remember another guy we brought in for training camp call Westley Mathews.

Another scenerio could happen if KOC thinks he can off load Bell or CJ if they are not performing or even Okur with his valuable expiring contract. We are now deep in both positions, and a young player who shows promise could be kept on to come off the bench or D league it until needed. Lots can still happen trade wise, so it will be interesting to see how many of the non guaranteed contracts actually stay throughout the season.

Also you should know that Keith McLeod used to play for us and was HORRIBLE. He is a ball hog and he makes horrible decisions. Also, he can’t run an offense.

I agree with patrick. Fifteen players would be great. The last two have small contracts and would keep everyone fresh. Remember at the end of last season the Jazz dressed nine player minimum and two of those were hurt?? With the extra players this would not have happened. By not keeping those two extra players they were stepping over dollars to pick up dimes. Also by the trade deadline they may want to trade two or three players for one. I would have said no to Tinsley but like Howard he is grown up now from his mistakes. He could be very valuable in case one of the other Points is lost for the season.I would then keep Carter or Gilder. From what I hear Gilder is sort of like a carbon copy of Evans.

Comparing Gilder to Evans is a really nasty thing to say about Evans. I watched Gilder in Sydney last year and was so disappointed after looking at his NBA experience. If he couldnt dominate the NBL, he would be almost a liability for an NBA team. I have been copping crap[ from a few mates since the Jazz signed him to the training camp
