Honestly!?

Today was probably the first time all year I was yelling at the tv at coach Corbin. close to the end of the 1st quarter he put cj and didn’t put burks in the entire first half and that is when i said Honestly!? Can anyone please tell me what cj has done in the 7 years he has been here to be getting more minutes than burks? every time Burks gets in he hustles, brings an energy, doesn’t back down, and distributes the ball to his teamates. the first thing idiot cj does when he gets in is throw up a dumb shot when he has 3 guy around him. he doesn’t hustle and its all about him. Burks has been on a tear lately and has done everything in his power to say i deserve more minutes and cj has done everything in his power to screw the jazz in clutch situations. so i don’t even care if we trade cj pay someone to take him from us.

Cj has also had some big games for the jazz. Unfortunately not enough to take all of burks minutes but you can’t say everytime he has hurt the team. Right now cj has impacted more games in a big way than burks has but burks has not hurt the team at all if any unlike cj. So I can understand why Corbin wants to see if cj has it. Because if by chance he does he can really help the team. With burks he gives you good consistent minutes and that is why I would rather not play cj in the 3rd or 4th and play burks instead.

I really want to think that they are trying to showcase cj a bit for a trade.

Woody thats my exact thought…well the trade part anyway i think they are trying to raise his stock

I said same thing 5 years ago… HE SUCKS.

  4. TACOREV says:

Trade deadline is a week away, may we all find joy in a trade shipping CJ away at last

They should have sat CJ after his 27 point game. everytime he gets on the court he’s losing value.

And Burks would be better in the 3rd and 4th if he had time in the 1st and 2nd to build a rythym.

The CJ experiment, in it’s 7th year, has finally proven to have failed. He hasn’t improved in the last three years. He’s had plenty of opportunity. While he CAN come in and lift the team, those games are few and far between. More often he’s 1-5, 2-6, and his shooting percentages continue to drop each year. He makes boneheaded fouls and bad decisions.

Burks looks ready. Give him CJ’s minutes. Evans could use more time (try him at SF?). Trade CJ and his expiring contract for something like a 2nd-round pick.

Millsap is a great 3rd big. Lets use him that way again. Jefferson-Favors and Millsap-Kanter off the bench.

Howard is getting the shot I think KOC promised him if he came here. He’s proving he’s worth a contract next year, and that translates into good play. I understand it, its just sad that its taking development time away from Gordon and Burks.

I agree with woody in some of what he said , Cj has done some good things as well as bad . His mistakes are because he trys to hard . And he is not the only one on this team that has hurt us in clutch time , if you were to watch with an open mind you would see that . They all lost that Dallas game when we were tryin to make a run , but to many turnovers will kill you . I dare you to say that Cj was the one that lost it for us . If you dare watch that 4th quarter again and see what I mean .
Now I think that Cj is a great bench player , before ya jump me let me say that Cj always put points up , just as well as any of our other bench players . I agree that he does do some silly fouls but he is again tryin to hard , plus some of those calls like milsap are very questionable .
Anyway I like Cj and what he does for this team when I also see that just about everyone on this team has done thier share makin mistakes . So unless they can get someone that puts us in the title race I would rather keep the players that want to be here and Cj does want to be here .
Unfortunatly I do think that he may be on the way out if not by trade deadline , then this summer .
Anyway that is my 10 cents worth .
    Go Jazz !!!!!!!

CJ Miles has been given the greatest opportunity that any NBA player can hope for, and that is to be the star of the team. CJ’s position in today’s NBA is often the most lethal. This year was his year to come out and show everyone who’s team this is. He could have entered this season putting EVERYTHING out there and come out as our go to guy. Instead, he has maintained his plateau that he achieved after his 3rd year.

CJ doesn’t have the desire or the killer instinct to be great in this league. He has everything going for him, he just wont get the job done. He is proving that his God given talent and build is accomplishing nothing more than we’ve always known CJ to be.

It is definitely time to move him so we can close this chapter in Jazz history. I am so done with the Jazz’ experiments that last years and years.

  9. Although I question his basketball IQ sometimes I really disagree with him not hustling. I think he tries too hard..

  10. Kyler, I couldn’t agree more. That is only one omf many questions I have about his coaching decisions.
