Boozer
Many Utahns, including Utah Jazz Forward Kyle Korver are disappointed that U2 canceled their their concert in Utah. (and all of North America) But Utahns, there is no need to fear, Carlos Boozer is here!

In case you missed it, Carlos Boozer was on ESPN all day on Monday. It started Sunday night/early Monday morning when he was a guest host on NBA Fast Break and continued the rest of the day hitting nearly every show concluding with an appearance on Sports Center.

Unlike interviews in the past Boozer has learned all the right things to say. Boozer said nearly the same thing on every show. Boozer would joke about the free agent summit then he would say hes want to play for a team that will win a championship this season because he’d much rather be playing right now instead of giving interviews.

When asked if he would want to resign with the Jazz Boozer would get that big Boozer smile and say well of course, we have to see what they do in draft and other free agent moves but yes. Boozer would then immediately follow that by saying how he is also interested in what other teams have to offer and where other top free agents are going. It all comes down to July 1st according to Boozer then we’ll all know whats going to happen.

Is it smart for Boozer to do so many interviews including his all day stint on ESPN or does it make him look desperate?

I think Boozer’s value is a bit under appreciated around the League. His offensive skills are huge and even his defense improved this last season. In a team with better defenders around him, he could be really awesome. I don’t know if he’s trying to showcase now, but there is indeed a tendency for teams to forget him. God damn, they put Chris Kaman on the All Star Team!!

But overall, I don’t really care what Boozer does or says. He gave the Jazz a great season (don’t mention the Suns game, who said we’d really beat the Spurs?!) and if he wishes to go, get us a ST or farewell. The Jazz got a fine draft pick, can try to move up, find our real thing there.

It will be interesting to see what kind of offer Carlos Boozer gets in the open market. Last season, no one wanted him at 12 million or better, but it may have been due to his injury more than his skills.

Now we can see how the league really values him. I think he is a fantastic defensive rebounder, but that the rest of his game average to good. I don’t think he’s worth more than 10 million a year and hope the Jazz don’t bring him back for more than that.

It really is amazing that he has appeared on radio stations or in newspaper articles in Chicago, Miami, and New York, as well as national news. Gotta love our Carlos…at least “our” for now!

As long as Boozer does not go on WWE or Raw or whatever those truly awful wrestling debacles that pass for entertainment are called or Dancing with the Stars, I am Ok with how he promotes himself. I would however not mind the Koof on Dancing with the Stars or maybe he and Fes.

I for one hope that he finds what hes lookin for . I was happy that he had a all-star caliber season this year . It is to bad that he probably wont be here next year I think he could be happy here if we could just fill our weakneses in this draft and FA market this year . Then we would be a force to recken with next year .

    More power to him!

He’s doing it in the right way this year.

There’s just waaaaay too much cap space chasing to few players this year. A lot of desperate teams are going to bid far more than his value, just like the rest of the FA’s.

Unless there’s some frugality kick in, I can’t see the Jazz keeping Booz, but a lot of us were fooled with the Jazz matching CJ and Paul’s offers.
