Josh Howard?

According to Yahoo! Sports, Jazz officials are meeting with Josh Howard. Howard’s the athletic shooter, KOC is looking for? (Too bad, they’re not in FL talking with the other Howard. Yeah, right!)

Howard met with KOC today apparently. Nice day to fly into town lousy gloomy weather. It would scare anyone off that was looking for another reason to not play in Utah.

  2. Yeah, it was so nice yesterday.

Josh Howard and Jamaal Tinsley, what is KOC thinking? It’s only a matter of time until one of our young guys gets busted in a club with some guns with one of this idiots…

    JERRY COME BACK!!!

  4. Jake says:

both have had some bad past, I think that stuff is behind them. Neither are little kids anymore. Lets hope that Tinsley is showing the adult side of him and Howard if that does happen I think he’s already learned his lesson with everyone coming down on him really heard with his public comments about our country. Doesn’t make the past OK though. Some people don’t have to learn those lessons and I think Paul Carter is obviously one of them. I have been impressed with Howards talent in the past however. Guy can play when he wants to. He’ll be trying to prove himself when he gets on the court again. These guys have ego’s that have to be vindicated in order to satisfy their insecuritys or something. That or they’re just born to compete and have that drive. Could be the latter, probably not fair for me to say they have insecuritys when I really don’t know. lol

No to Jerry coming back though. It was time. Wished he would have finished the season but it was time and he took us as far as we could have gone. It just wasn’t going to happen with Jerry.

Chande will be good for us, even if it hurts for a while. Corbin is fresh and hungry and knows what this city needs. We’ll see what he’s made of soon enough, but my guess is that he was in the Jerry system long enough to be able to get similar results at a minimum which we need more than that.

  6. I think we could really be getting a good deal out of Howard, he was quite the talented wing just a few years back. He also hussled on defense and didn’t take plays off, which is a big deal to me. I’m intrigued to see if we can land him, we really need a good SF to start alongside Hayward.

According to ESPN Jazz met with Howard in North Carolina, not SLC. Probably not KOC, but another member of Jazz staff.

  8. Jake says:

Thanks Mat86. Thats good to know, and smart. Don’t scare the player away as theyre coming through the clouds and landing on ice. That isn’t the WARM welcome you want any player to have unless they’re on the other team.

Much better weather I’m sure in NC.

Lance I’m with you. I have wanted Hayward at the 2 if possible. His height and length at a legit 9′8” (Heck when I was on the court with him he looked taller I swear) but still having all the talent to keep up with people like Kobe… that just makes him a big weapon for sure.. A handfull for others. I too am intrigued with the Josh Howard and would like to see him here as well.
