LeBron James

I can obviously see the reasoning behind it, and it will obviously attract major viewers, but it still just bugs me. Heck, I’m pretty sure I’ll end up watching too and make myself look like a hypocrite, but what can I say.

    Hold on a second,
if you could have one of these hour long specials, you would. Whether you like it or not you will still watch it. Its a smart move by ESPN. And Lebron

I was a supporter of LeBron, but this new development of getting an hour long special tomorrow, supposedly called “The Decision” on ESPN leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Yeah, he’s a great player, we get it. But this grandstanding and endless coverage is over the top. Even Kobe didn’t try to pull something like this.

    Just my two cents.

Wade going to Chicago seems more likely than Lebron and I don’t see him meshing well with Lebron. They both play the superstar position. Bosh will prolly end up with Wade in Miami or Chicago and LBJ wil prolly go Nets or Cavs. New York threw in the towel when they picked up STAT. To the above, I think it’s unfortunate that he chose 23 instead of creating his own legacy with his own number. 23 = MJ and MJ > anyone. In any case, I hope he moves somewhere that can help him beat down the Lakers.

Honestly Cavs, Nets, and the Knicks seem like the logical choice. He will have complete control of the decisions and only needs to win 1 chip in order to be legend in the state/city…

He doesn’t want to share the spotlight with Wade who already has 1 chip. He doesn’t want a ball dominant Pg with Rose. He wants to control the ball…

If LeBron leaves, he won’t be in the same category of Jordan because he made amazing happen where they got drafted.

Lebron will mostly likely play in Chicago, Cleveland, or Miami next year. In that order. If he goes to Chicago he has the best chance of winning. I think a Bosh/LBJ Chicago team would easily be better then a LBJ/Bosh/Wade Miami team. Chicago has a more solid bench and supporting cast then Miami will offer. Plus Wade and LBJ are two big of stars on one team. I know he will never ignore the fact to stay in Cleveland cause thats where he got his start, his home and family is there, he grew up there. He might resign for a 1 or 2 year deal and give the team one last chance. Wait till the nets move to Brooklyn and head there in 2-3 years if things don’t go his way. I’m not sure if Cleveland could make the right moves fast enough to lure LBJ back. Will Cleveland bring in a Bosh as well, can they afford to? So right now it seems most likely he’ll go to Chicago. I don’t think the MJ shadow thing is a problem. More of an opportunity. Plus he might of changed his jersey number for respect to MJ but he might of also changed it cause he had planned to go to chicago and that number was already taken. who knows…

I would really be surprised if he doesn’t resign with the Cavs. I just think all this hype for “the greatest fa period in league history” is gonna wind up as nothing but HYPE. I’m sorry, but if he does go to Chicago he will have to live in MJ’s shadow. He is not now or ever will be close to MJ. Jordan would have never looked so disinterested in a playoff game as The “king” was this year. People of Chicago will never let him get away with that after having MJ there.

Yeh, just stay in the east so we dont have him, AND the lakers to worry about.

I was going to say something, but then I realized I’d just be repeating Mark’s words.

  • Avatar Image Yongsoo Bahk said 2 years, 10 months ago:

As long as he stays in the East…

  • Avatar Image Jazz4thewin said 2 years, 10 months ago:

Chicago or Miami. Wherever he goes I hope that the team he chooses will be able to destroy the lakers because well like most of you I hate the freaking lakers

  • Avatar Image Doublebburke said 2 years, 10 months ago:

Well put, Mark. That’s going to be a dangerous team… look out Lakers!

  • Avatar Image Mark Wahlen said 2 years, 10 months ago:

Chicago. It makes the most sense, especially is they can also grab Bosh. I’ve seen the rumors about him going to Miami but that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me and I just can’t see him wanting to go to NYC with how terrible that team is. I will be very surprised to see him go anywhere else but Chicago. And about the whole MJ shadow thing….LeBron is the best player in the NBA right now and is well on his way to becoming one of the greatest players of all time….I don’t think he has to worry about being in anyones shadow except for his own.

  • Avatar Image Doublebburke said 2 years, 10 months ago:

Does he really want the pressure of moving to Chicago and living in MJ’s shadow? Maybe he thinks he can win 7 championships with the Bulls…
