Living on the Oregon-California border, I have tried for 20 years to like the Warriors or the Blazers. I have failed. I grew up in Utah and I am a Jazz fan for life. Respect.

Jazz fan in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There is a group of about 8 of us down here. Go Jazz!

Jazz fan in Israel/Palestine. I grew up in Centerville, Utah. My first Jazz game was in ‘87, in the Salt Palace, I was six.
I bought a slingbox just to watch Jazz games. I can DVR them and watch them later, but so far I’ve stayed up all night to watch each televised preseason game live.
I travel a lot, and I was in Vietnam over the summer. I was sitting in an ice cream parlor in Ho Chi Minh City, and a friendly local family struck up a conversation with me. When he found out I was from Utah, the first thing the father said to me, without hesitation, was, “Oh, Jerry Sloan needs to get a championship before he retires!”
If the Jazz make the Finals, I will fly immediately from Tel Aviv to Salt Lake City.
Raja Bell is so awesome. Millsap, Deron, everyone. It’s just so right to be a Jazz fan.

Jazz fan in NYC. I lived in SLC for 6 years and have been a Jazz fan ever since.

Jazz fan living behind enemy lines here in San Antonio, TX. Grew up SLC and moved to Texas in 2000.
I was at the Salt Palace when “Coach Tom” was on the sidelines. I had a Dr. Dunkenstein poster in my room, and I remember the taste of free hotdogs as the words “Were gonna bring a Mailman to Utah” came over the PA. I watched (teevee) almost every game of what can only be described as gutty 42-40 season.
When I first moved to San Antonio, the house we renting had a flag pole. I told my neighbor I was going to run a Jazz flag up the pole, his response “If’n yew dew, Ima take eet down an burn eet”. Spurs fans hang on to Karl Malone’s elbow of David Robinson. They hate the jazz. So last year was particularly delicious, with Utah running the table. It can only get better, maybe this year D-will and company can knock the Spurs out of the playoffs!

I live in Palermo California. I am 17 years old and i have been a jazz fan my whole life.

Jazz fan living in Syracuse, NY. I latched on during the ‘95-’96 playoffs… Malone missing FT in Seattle…The Jazz have given me some great thrills, and have entertained me with their brand of “team basketball.” This year I do not plan on getting NBA League Pass, because so many games will be broadcast nationally! Reminds me of those glory days of not so long ago. GO JAZZ!!!!

I’m a life long Jazz fan from Castleton, VT. I have to say… In my 20+ years of living in VT, I have never met another Jazz fan in the state. Last year for the first time, I got a chance to see the Jazz in UTAH!!! I normally have to resort to watching them in either Boston or NJ. Here is to a BIG year from our Jazz!
Go Jazz!!!

I have been a Jazz Fan since 86 or 87. I remember when they moved up from New Orleans and since they were close I became a fan. I live in Montana and it has been a great ride rooting for Dantley, Boone, Thurl, Curry, Manion, Eaton, Russell, Eisly, Krysko, Hornacek and of course Carl and Stock. I have only been to a game live a couple of times but hope to go more when I retire.

I too am a life-long Jazz fan, this will be my 27th season that I have cheered on the Utah Jazz (was 5 when I started). I grew up in Jackson Hole, WY, and every year we would try to make at least one or two games in person, and then watch every other game on TV. Then in 1999, I moved to Driggs/Tetonia, ID, and once again, only got to come to the occasional game, but always watched on TV. In 2005, after suffering a pair of Spinal Cord Injuries, I moved to SLC (Orem) to rehab, go back to school, and try to gain a life back despite my disability. In 2007 I got the fortunate ability to finally live out the dream, and get season tickets to the games. Since then I am always there, at the arena 4 hours before a game, watching the players do shoot-around, hanging with the fans, coaches, and players, and just living the total dream. As long as I live in Utah, I will keep my season tickets, no matter what it takes. Watching the Jazz has become theraputic to me as well, allowing me to go to the games, feel like a normal fan (despite being in a wheelchair) and cheer our team to victory! Chances are if you have been to a home game in the last 4 years, that you have possibly seen me crusing around the arena, ya cant miss me. Decked head to toe (literally) in all my jazz gear, warmups, jacket, sweatshirt, jersey, shooting shirt, etc, and a pair of D-Will’s shoes to complete the package. All riding in my blue and while manual wheelchair. If ya see me there, don’t hesitate to say hi, I love chatting with other fans. And for those of you who come in from out of town, feel free to come say hi as well. I am usually down by the floor pre-game, and in the accessible seating area in my parking spot about 20-25 minutes before tip-off. I sit at the top of section 4, Portal D, and ya can’t miss me!
