I am in idaho and I grew up watching the jazz, cheering them on. I have loved the jazz ever since I can remember. I loved pistol pete, loved stockton to malone, and i love D-Will more than anyone else in the NBA. I went to game 6 against the nuggs this year and there is nothing like the atmosphere of a playoff game in energy solutions arena.
Out of State Jazz Fans?

Two of us out here in Indiana. Lifelong Jazz fans to a team that is very easy to root for. With the Jazz drafting Heyward, my parents look to finally root for the Jazz as well this season.

I live in Lancaster CA just west of LA. Everybody down here is a Lakers fan.. It disgusts me but whenever anybody tries to talk smack I get to just laugh and say “At least we can beat the Cavs” that usually shuts them up

I’m from Sydney Australia and have supported the Jazz since the first NBA game I ever saw on tv. We still don’t get many NBA games over here (even on pay tv) so I’ve saved and travelled to get to Jazz games. Just visited Salt Lake City for the first time in November to go to 3 games. Well worth the trip and can’t wait to do it again. I’m graduating at the end of the year and I’m even looking into the possibility of getting a teaching job in Utah in the future. Kinda getting sick of all the ‘fans’ here that support the lakers, magic, cavs, celtics and whatever other team is on a winning streak despite the fact they were all bulls fans in the 90’s while I was growing up.

I live in Las Vegas, right in the heart of East Laker Country, I get a lot of crap to for the Jazz as well, but I don’t care, been a Jazz fan since I can remember, was born and raised in Elko, Nevada so we went to Jazz games a lot, probably been to 35 or 40 games in my life. Now I try to make it to a game every year, but it’s tough with their schedule and my schedule conflicting.

I’m from Colorado, just an hour north of Denver, and am a HUGE Jazz fan. From October until May (I wish I could say June) The Jazz are my life! Anyway, pretty much everybody here HATES the Jazz. I can’t even begin to describe how great it was for me for the Jazz to take down the Nuggets in the first round. Wish we could’ve made it further but oh well. But anyway here’s another out-of-state supporter who gets dirty looks and negative comments every time I wear my Jazz gear, but I love being able to rub it in when the Jazz win haha.

I went to a game at the Toyota Center in Houston a few years ago and got circled up by 20 of the “red rowdies” when going to my seat and got yelled at and made fun of since I was in my Jazz gear. Funny how I couldn’t find them after the game after the Jazz won by 15…

I love hearing about Jazz fans from out of state, I think it is cool. Ya Rich I agree with you about going to another place, especially a rival and rooting for the Jazz. I went to Pheonix and watched the Jazz play the Suns it was really neat and I got to see the respect that Suns fans had for the Jazz. It was a huge game for them and there was a buzz in the arena, kind of like when the Lakers come to Utah.

I live right now in Chicago and have lived in the midwest my whole life. I have a lot of family in Utah and I loved the jazz since I was a kid.
