I’m kind of intrigued with this new addition to our front office. I have to believe that while San Antonio was owning us during the playoffs, that Mr Lindsey saw obvious hidden potential in Utah in order for him to jump ship from one of the leagues top teams.

I’m not going to say that he has the power to trade and bring in Parker, Duncan or Ginobli, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he has some connections that can pay off big for Utah. Could Pop be lured in to take over an up and coming contender as his Spurs are on the inevitable decline? Can he be our tie to acquire Danny Green in the future? I can’t wait to see what he brings to the table

  1. Matt says:

Duncan will retire a Spur. I’d think Pops would to.

  2. The Spurs front office was masterful at bringing in players with one or two great NBA skills, and playing them at what they were good at while preventing other teams from exploiting their weaknesses. It requires a coach who knows how to do that as well, and I do not think that Corbin is anywhere close to Popovich, but I think this is a good move.

  3. yeah i agree with the rest of the league. Utahs best pick up in years. Lindsey has a great basketball mind and he’s a winner. Connections not limited to spurs. Im sure we now have some new options with other teams to deal with which is important this season trading Al and millsap before they walk.
