Some of you might not get excited about Sanders, but he leads the league in blocked shots per game
So the point in this trade is to get better depth? Why do that when we are trying to free our young guys that aren’t playing due to depth? We have depth and we are adding more depth? Doesn’t make sense to me especially since in the playoffs you have a 9 man rotation. Correct me if I’m wrong
The experiment we’ve tried up to this point hasn’t worked. Show me a Championship caliber team that isn’t loaded with depth. Which roster do you think has more talent? Is talent + length > = heart? The depth on this roster also protects us from losing a star due to injury throughout the season.
Things that we need to improve on
- interior defense (Sanders at a lot less $ than Al)
- PG depth with greater ball distribution (Nash)
- stretch offense (Illyasova or Memo 2.0)
- length (Gasol)
- championship experience (Gasol)
- All Star caliber players (Nash,Gasol)
- eliminate Al as our main source of scoring
- player that will pass out of the post (Gasol)
- players with high trade value if needed
- get rid of Bell, Tinsley, Watson
How about this lineup deep in a playoff run
Nash,Hayward,Illyasova,Gasol,Favors
Did you notice who came off the bench tonight? Gasol. So replace him in the starting lineup with Favors. Hayward is best off the bench. Burks is not as good as Foye.
We cant afford to move Foye and Carroll for what they bring to this team for the price.
your crazy to start sanders over favors!!
Alright let’s start out with this. We trade 2 big men for basically 3. Keep our two #3 picks of the draft that we traded a superstar for on the bench which will continue to limit their development. We don’t get rid of Watson. So tell me where is the good of this?
Favors lantern Hayward and burks are our future core four. Not al not four not tinsley not Milsap not Watson.
And your point on how foye is better than burks is straight up crazy! When has burks had his shot at being a CONSISTENT player on this team. Hmmm let me see oh ya never! Foye has been in the league for MULTIPLE years and is inconsistent, but because he is older he gets to shoot random pull up threes in transition, play bad defense, and be one dimensional and still play a crap load of minutes. Burks doesn’t even get a play ran for him! And when he does shoot half the time it is late in the shot clock or nobody else is scoring so he will take one shot and then Corbin pulls him! That is what is crazy my friend. Burks is and will be better than foye
Gosh not four four and kanter for lantern
I liked it when burks was in and was playing good d on Kobe but Kobe was being Kobe and making tough shots. Then Harpring says its because burks is a little small. So then Corbin with his brilliant mind puts often in who is 3 inches smaller than burks. I can only imagine what Corbin was thinking
Start whoever you want coach
Thank goodness the people on here aren’t the coach and gms
Jarum, this trade isn’t based around who should play more out of Foye and Burks. I could care less. Mix up the lineup however you want. My point is that the roster I proposed would have more success than our current roster.
Hayward should have been on Kobe and Carroll should have come in when LA started pulling away. I hate Kobe but he will own Burks 10 out of 10 times
@ Jason, I started Gasol over Favors and Sanders over Kanter. The beauty of this roster is anyone could Start
Lakers hired D’Antoni because of Nash. I highly doubt they would be willing to get rid of Nash.

heres my trade…

or this one, do you like it?
@ Riley, I don’t think Jennings is the guy to build our future around plus I like Millsap and Jefferson better than Dalembert and Wallace
I personally think we need a younger pg than Nash . I think that Nash is gettin to old to play with all the young guns that are playin now . I a;so think that After watchin the game last night that Gasol will never want to be here . To me he was makin that clear last night with his body langauge and readin his lips .
I personally dont want anyone that is a Laker playin on our team after what Fisher did to us .
Just my take on it . Sorry !!!
