Free agents slipping away

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Ilyasova resigns with Bucks, Novak resigns with Knicks, Indiana matches Portland’s offer to keep Hibbert…no news on D Green yet???
Also, I wasnt aware that one of our coaches was a free agent. Orlando is interested in making Hornacek their new coach and he will talk with them while in Orlando during summer league.

Ilyasova would have been nice to have, I feel like he is a clone of Paul though. The only difference is that Ilyasova has a better 3 point shot and is more comfortable playing the 3. If we were to get Ersan it would be the end of Paul in Utah. I would have enjoyed seeing him in a Jazz uniform but I feel like the Jazz would rather be loyal to Millsap who knows the system and works hard every day. Millsap will be cheaper as well.
I am glad Indiana signed Hibbert, keep as many all stars out east and away from our division rivals. If you are suggesting that the Jazz should have gone after him, you are crazy. He is way too expensive and we already have a huge logjam for our big men.
I dont get everyones love for Danny Green. He hit the 3 against the Jazz but was benched when playing the elite teams later in the playoffs. He is not the answer at the 2 guard. His year was a product of great coaching by Pop and a great Spurs Offense, not amazing talent on his part.
Spurs 3 year 12 million with Green. From the rumours Jazz couldve got him as part of the 3 way deal for J.Howard last year.
Thats awesome. He doesn’t even want to be in San Antonio, even after they dominated us in the playoffs.
Portland could become be a trade partner for Al after losing out on Hibbert. Too bad they don’t still have Batum as a trade piece. How do the Timberwolves atrract a guy like Batum when Love wants out because they won’t surround him with “other elite players”?
I really hope Hornacek comes back, but at the same time, I would love to see him get a shot as a head coach.
Yep…As Disco reported, Danny Green is now off the board. Those rumors can stop now.
The jazz arent going to pick up anyone else unless they trade milsap or al. Other then that the jazz are done making moving and going for free agents.
I would have like Camby to split time with Kanter, had we traded Al. Blazers are looking for a center, but want a player to compliment Meyers, not to supplant him. So if the Blazer want Al, its so he can split time with Meyers. I don’t know if the Blazers would want Al. Reports are saying kaman is someone along those lines. Are best shot is that Bulls match Omer, and Houston gets left stranded. Would have been nice to pick Camby and some picks for Al. This dead period til July 11 really screwed us.
Rumours are Camby to Knicks. Love just signed an extension midway through last year so he’s not going anywhere. Who has the pieces we want? If they miss out on Asik Houston will need a centre and a PG. Give em Al and Watson
Ya @disco, I really wanted Camby to split time with Kanter. I would totally trade Al and Watson, just for picks really. Al Jefferson is going to look SUPER good to Houston if they get left with nothing. They lost out on Howard, Gasol, Hibbert, Dragic, Lowry, Asik, Courtney Lee, Lin, they lost Dalembert and Budinger. They look bad and will be desperate, Id bleed them dry if I was the Jazz. They would have to take Watson or no deal, and get Al for more than he is worth!! Come on Bulls, step up.
I guess the Jazz are pretty happy with Murphy, since they didn’t offer Green an offer.
@Omar – Have they got anything the Jazz might want apart from picks. If not how we going to make up the price
@Disco, im not too sure, they have like 9 guys on roster. I read they dont want to trade Martin. If Burks is moving to PG, Id like to get Lamb and Terrence Jones, and a future pick for Al and Watson.
