Meet
Trade CJ, Millsap and #12 for #4 and Parker

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.We trade CJ, Millsap, and #12 to Clevland for #4 and Anthony Parker
The important part about this trade is we are getting the #4 pick. We could clear up 2 of are needs. We need a PG and C. We would pick Kanter #3 and we could pick Knight or Walker #4. Giving up Milsap would be hard for me but he has the most trade value on the team.
Our starters would be:
C: Enas Kanter
PF: Big Al
SF: Derrick Favors
SG: Gordan Hayword
PG: Kemba Walker OR Brandon Knight
We are giving up one of are best players, but picking up are future. I am done with CJ in Utah he is a liablility to the Utah Jazz. theportant thing is we would not have Jimmer on the team with the 12 pick because we do not need that peice of !@#$% here. Anthony Parker would be a great player to come of the bench to relieve hayword last year he got 8 points 3 Rebounds and 3 Assists a game of the bench that is a position we did not have consistancy from last year.
This would be smart by the Cavs because they are getting a guy who will work hard and has alot of skill at the PF. CJ is a good player to come off the bench, but should not be considered there 6th man because he is inconsistant and plays no defense. They all ready have the 1st pick and they will get Irving and the only thing that would be worth picking at 4 would be a PG.
We can’t expect Harris to be a consistant starter because he has his “injuries”. I think he will end up being just like boozer because he really does not want to be in Utah. He is pissed he got traded here that is the reason he did not play alot of games at the end of the season.

um, no. if we were gonna trade millsap trade hime after this season after we see if favors will start or not. AND next season will most likely be a better draft than this year, so trade him after the season. AND at least see if he can consistently play the 3 for us. sorry, my thoughts are kinda scattered around
For once it is good to see someone who isn’t on the Jimmer band-wagon. Let some other team draft him cause he wont be a solid performer in the NBA like he was in college and well, he wasn’t even that great in college, he just stood out cause the rest of the BYU team sucked. Harris wont be with the Jazz much longer cause at the KOC interview at the combine he did tell David Alridge he is looking to make the team young….Harris wont fit into that. Trading CJ and Millsap just to get the 4 and Anthony Parker might be a little too much, maybe depending what Cleveland is looking to do, might be able to get Parker for the 12 and CJ, but including Millsap would be just giving up too much.
What if we added Hickson intot he trade?
I don’t entirely hate it, but I certainly don’t like it. I’d be more comfortable giving up a role player in Millsap for a draft pick in a better draft, like next year. I don’t want CJ on this team next year. His 1 great, 5 awful game cycle hurts our team on a regular basis. Eventually we’ll be forced to choose between Millsap and Favors, and I think Favors is the guy because he’s a true PF. Many people say Favors should have to prove himself first, but maybe this is the time to trade Millsap while his value is high and our team is rebuilding with young players. I also don’t want Kanter seeing as he’s more of a post scorer than defensive center, which is what we need. We already have Millsap, Favors, and arguably Jefferson to fight for that role, lets get what we need in shooting and defense.
@zach
more like 1 great, 40 ok-awful, 1 great 40 ok-awful.
cj should totally be traded, but i fear that if we trade him, he’ll do really good and maybe have 4 great games a season.
meh, whatever.
Seriously? You have Derrick Favors playing the 3??? Yeah… I really see his perimeter game coming along, good call.
Nope. First off no way we trade Millsap 2 years after we signed him to large contract. Second is Favors can’t play the 3. CJ will be consistent this year, he’s 24, going into his sixth season straight out of Highschool. If we draft Walker or Knight they will NOT start over Harris.
Hmm… Who’s Enas Kanter and Gordan Hayword? I’ve never heard of either of them.
You missed the only big need which is SF. Sorry, bad idea.
First of all… NO.
Second of all… Favors as SF??
Almost didn’t read this when I read the title of the blog.
Started laughing out loud at your starting lineup.
Stopped reading at the hipster Jimmer hate.
It’s more likely than not he’ll be here. Deal with it, and he’s going to do wonders for this team.
I say we trade everyone single player on our team and both draft pics for number one pick. Then use it to get Jimmer. Then Clone jimmer and play him at all 5 positions.
Instanty championships forever!
Favors at the three? Wheres your facts on Harris?
NO
You do understand that Millsap is worth much more to Cleveland than what your asking right? Millsap is a better player than anyone they have on their team, at half the cost of thier best player. Do you see what is wrong with your trade? Your giving them their best player, at the best value, throwing in a few other players, and asking for Bandon Knight and Anthony Parker. Millsap is worth much more than Brandon Knight and Parker by himself.
I dont mind making a trade, but it should benefit us. I could understand someone making a stretch and saying lets trade Millsap, CJ, and the 12 pick for 1st and 4th. That would make a little more sense, but they probably would not take it since they need a PG and there is really not much to be had at the 12th pick. But who knows, Millsap and CJ would be their best 2 of 3 players next season and they could fill a hole with the 12th pick..
Next problem with your trade is Parker is 36 yrs young, and not under contract. Means he is a free agent. If you wanted his old butt, you could just sign him. Not a good idea, but why trade for him?
