A new series from me on it’s way! Power Rankings!
Posted by: Riley Gisseman on December 11th, 2012
The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.1.Spurs
The Spurs have already gotten to 17 wins before they have gotten to 4 losses, this alone indicates the strength of the team without handing out any other information, this team is in mid season form taking out anyone in their path. Watch out for the Spurs again Jazz Nation!
2.Thunder
The only thing which keeps me from putting this fantastic crew from number one is the lack of experience, the Spurs always know what to do, when to do it, and know where each other are on the court. I have a strong feeling in my gut that soon this group will grab number one.
3.Heat
I know the Heat lost the the Wizards and the Knicks but you can’t place a team with LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, should I go on? Plus they won the Championship last year and early in the season with Haslem and Miller injured, I’ll toss them the bone.
4.Knicks
Does the Knicks story get better? I don’t think so! Remember the 2010-2011 Hornets winning their first 8 games and going 11-1 on their first 12? This is the same story with the Knicks, but either way, you must give Carmello and company a thumbs up for their first 20 games this year
5.Grizzlies
Starting so strong and keeping that start is very hard, but the Grizz have caught a break their first 18, 11 were at home and 6 of the 7 road were against less then steller teams, Let’s see if they can keep this play up though.
6.Clippers
After watching them play the Jazz, I am furious at refs for living on superstars, We definately would have won that game if not for Blake Griffin and Chris Paul’s Star Plublicity, The ref’s gave them EVERY call in the first half. I haven’t seen much else of this 14-6 team but if every game in their 6 game win streak is as biased as that they would be much lower.
7.Warriors
Wait! Say What?!?! We need this team to do horribly, we need a lottery pick! But unfortunately this club is 14-7! Stephen Curry is playing like Deron Williams on the court, while David Lee is like Kevin Love! I just have to say wow!
8.Hawks
How are the Johnson-less Hawks doing so good? Josh Smith and Jeff Teague are playing like Ballers is why! This team is actually pretty good and Devin Harris has been playing like he should. Kyle Korver is also a very strong shooter as well, Congrats to him!
9.Bulls
Even without Rose they can beat powerhouses! Knicks are the latest victim for this strong deep team.
10.Nets
Currently they are beating the Knicks and rightfully so, Deron is playing like himself again after 2 hard years in the NBA and is a very strong teamate to Joe Johnson.
11.Jazz
Beat L.A.! On the road, which we have only won 3 out of 12 before the game, with the Lakers at home, which they are 7 out of 12 this year, we won 117 to 110, making us 2-0 against the dreaded Lakers. Not to mention we killed Toronto by 32. Goodbye Potential! Hello New Reality!
12.Celtics
13.76ers
14.Timberwolves
15.Mavericks
16.Magic
