(well, after trying unsuccessfully to re-format these stats for the UJ360 site, i’m just going to link to my blog and you all can read it there.  be prepared for some statistical work that would flunk you out of 8th grade math.)

Don’t think the as-is Jazz have a shot at a championship? Think again.

  1. If we can become one of the best defenses in the NBA (like the Mavericks are) then we will become a contender over-night. Unfortunately the odds are a bit slim to make a defensive turn around like that.

  2. i wholeheartedly agree. there are a lot of factors that go into winning a championship that you can’t quantify with a spreadsheet, and a lot of the factors that you CAN quantify aren’t present on mine. but i thought it was interesting to see that, in terms of pure numbers, the existing roster has plenty of potential to win games against premier teams.
