Meet
Alec Burks anyone?

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Considering that Burks is the player who gets fouled the most in our team, I thought we could have used him a bit.
Specially after going to the line only once in the first half. Maybe a Burks/Foye/Carroll like we saw in the preseason could have done some damage. We just weren’t finding open shots. But overall it seems like our team hasn’t warmed up to ’season level’ yet.
Last note: Carroll’s attitude needs to spread out to the rest of the team.

Alec Burks doesn’t settle for jump shots, which is what we did all night. Why do you think we had no free throws? Being a jump shooting team on the road is always a bad idea.
Al ley Lopez look like a superstar down low and we couldnt seem to find a big who would stay on Ryan Anderson. I felt the energy and hustle was missing.
Al let*…dang phone
@KC Actually the people that were on Anderson when he hit a three were Millsao,Al,Carrol and Tinsley… Favors got a hand in his face for three of his misses.
The book is out on the Jazz. First unit: run P&R against Al; Second unit: run P&R against Tinsley. Al and Tinsley—P&R get dunk or lay up.
Hornets gave Tinsley about a 7ft space and he cant hit the wide open 3. Al’s D is really bad. I loved that Hayward was driving to the cup. Foye was on fire, but as long as teams dont honor Tinsley’s shot, Foye isnt a driver, so Kanter and Favors are going to have no space and get double/triple teamed in the paint.
Like KC said, Lopez looked like Duncan, tomorrow its the real deal Duncan.
It is embarrassing to lose to the Hornets. We played horrendously and still had a shot at the end. This loss really shows how young our team is. Until we can bring the energy we showed at home on the road, we are headed for another 8th seed, 1st round bounce. Honestly, if just one of our big men has a quality game on offense, this is an easy win.
I feel a trade coming soon. We’ve got so much depth that we’re leaving a very talented player in Burks on the bench. What happens when Watson gets back? There aren’t enough minutes to go around. One of our bigs and one or more of our guards has to go to free up some time.
@A.G the thing is that people do not realize is low minutes people can not get in rhythms. You want better offense people gotta go plain and simple
@A.G I saw a trade soon too, but from big Al… tonight was sad his job on court…. and Robin lopez isnt a huge name.
I will admit… I love Tinsley, he’s old school, and probably the truest PG we have on the team.
BUT…
He’s become a liability on the defensive end and i can’t take it anymore! I understand why Corbin wants Tinsley out there offensively but i hope he realizes his defensive limitations hurt us more.
With having played Foye and Burks together all of the preseason we know they can play together. They both can take turns handling the ball and allowing each other to play off the ball. Defensively we would see a huge improvement with burks quickness and aggressiveness on the floor, and with his size and length it would also allow us to switch more between him, foye, and carroll.
The Jazz looked horrible against the Hornets. Like others have said – Al’s defense is bad, Millsap’s interior d isn’t great either, but there is more effort. Let Burks play, etc…
For me, it all came down to lack of coaching – GET FOWLED! …Jerry Sloan, or most coaches wouldn’t have accepted 2 free throws in the entire first half..and like 8 or 10 for the game … It was frustrating to watch Corbin not adjust all game, the Jazz had much more talent and depth and didn’t use it.
There has to be a deal soon … We do have a lot of good players, which is a luxury, but i have come to accept that TOO much depth has hurt us.
We have got to get Kanter and Burks more minutes, and Favors needs to be getting starter minutes. I don’t want to hear that were going for win’s rather than develop these young guys. These guys contribute more in limited time they are on the floor, than some of the guys ahead of them.
If they are the future, why are we delaying their development by not playing them? If our goal is to compete for a championship by 2014 with these guys, they need playing time NOW so they KNOW how to compete, and what it takes on the floor.
Well said Steve. Totally agree.
Perfectly stated @Steve.
