Meet
So full of Foye…

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.I mean joy! Foye’s 3 3-pointers in a row were killers! I think is was the most important run we had in this game. That’s how you run it, reward the player who’s on fire (although even Burks had his highlight in the game).
Now this is one game where I liked all 4 bigs, Millsap was Millsap, Kanter and Favors were never intimated by Howard and Pau, I love the way they fought in the court, and Jefferson was scoring consistently. I liked how Corbin played them this time.
There is one downturn, and that’s Hayward. He’s still not the consistent player that we’re looking for. I think he made 2-9 or 2-11, something like that.
Other than all that, it’s been the second Jazz game I’ve ever attended and I did not expect to see so much yellow in the stadium. It’s worse than I thought. The most interesting thing that I observed is that most Laker fans were latinos (just an observation, don’t jump all over me now).
Great win, now get some on the road!

HAHAHA!! Kobe is such a little drama queen!!!
Great game by the whole team, even Al. I really have nothing to complain about…….
Oh ya!!!! FN 50 free throw attempts?! David Stern must have been blowing up the phones of the refs!!! “come on refs, I already booked the Lakers vs. Heat!” I expect this in @LA, but damn this is unbelievable!!! Favors got hammered, Kobe jabs Al in the belly during dunk, Mo gets smacked, Hayward was getting bumped all night. This is FN b.s. Kobe gets calls on top of calls. @Lakers are the only team that can go on an 8-0 run with just free throws.
Burks (even in preseason) gets under Kobes skin. Pretty funny. Hayward couldnt get into rhythm cuz of all the b.s. fouls! Hayward played fantastic to start, then surprise, surprise, the refs start giving Hayward super cheap fouls. AND THE JAZZ STILL WON!!!! Hahaha. Jazz need to play with this intensity on the road!!! Go Jazz Go!
Refs definitely tried to rape us. I’ll be glad when Kobe is gone, the amount of calls he gets is ridiculous. 48 Free throws to 16??! Seriously, something is wrong there, as our team was just as aggressive or more than the Lakers taking it to the hoop.
Burks played along side Foye in the first. He played great on both ends of the floor. The reason he did not come back in was because Foye could not guard anyone. I love that the vets on this team do not have to play defense but can stay on the floor but the young guys make one mistake and they get benched. Accountability goes along ways. Fear goes along ways but there is not Fear or Accountability among the vets. They know they play whether they shoot 0-3 whether they play no defense. Yes Foye was hot this game but when he cooled off he was getting KILLED on defense, he has gotten burned by everyone who has gone up against him, are we going to see him pulled when he is not shooting well and plays no defense? The answer is not because we saw that happen in SA
Foye was fantastic in the game. He was dialed in and confident. He struggled in the preseason but I’m glad I didn’t get upset. He really adds fire power to the bench and he works with Mo really well. Jefferson played great defense I thought. He did a decent job on the pick and roll (though it looked great because LA doesn’t really run it, nor are the any good at it) but on the low post he did great defending Howard and forcing turnovers!!! He scored well too. Favors and Kanter did great in the first half, not so well in the second. They still gave a great lift to the bench! Overall, our best game. We did a better job throughout the entire game, every single quarter, than we have in the past few games. Let’s keep it up!!!
My theory is that a good number of Lakers fans are transplants from California after the housing bubble burst in 2008.
Of course, I’m also a transplant from SoCal, but I’ve always hated the Lakers growing up. I’m so glad I discovered the Jazz in 06 and been a fan ever since.
