The Jazz can’t shoot straight in this series.
Utah shoots 40% from the floor, and 14-26 from the free throw line.
Parker leads the Spurs with 27 points, while Duncan scores 17 points.
Stephen Jackson scored 13 off the bench, while Green added 14, and Ginobili had 10 assists.
Devin Harris and Al Jefferson had 21 points apiece.
Millsap struggled offensively, but had 11 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots.
Derrick Favors and Alec Burks played well off the bench. Favors finished with 15 points, and 11 rebounds, and played over 30 minutes in the game. Alec Burks chipped in 11 points.
The Spurs will try to complete a sweep on Monday night.

Neither Harris or Jefferson are very good defenders, and both look to create for themselves offensively, and don’t make the players around them better.
Am I being overly harsh?
The problem is that the alternatives right now are a very unseasoned Enes Kanter, and the ancient Jamaal Tinsley.
The Jazz need to make some off season moves.
That Warriors pick would have helped out considerably, as far as adding another quality young player, or serving as trade bait. Damn the Warriors! A bunch of stinking tankers!!
@the basketball gods will handle GSW!
I love seeing Kanter play the P&R on D!!! Him and Favors on the court to start the 4th was giving Duncan fits!!! First time the whole series the Jazz shut the paint down cuz of great P&R D. Kanter and Favors are gonna be load for teams to handle.
Burks is gonna be something special. Jazz need to resign Carroll and get Evans in the game please. Would love to see a Kanter, Favors, Evan frontline.
The futire is now!!
*Future
Wait, Millsap played tonight? I must have missed him. I thought he was at the bar with Raja and Earl.
Should have started with the big 3 or at least sit Al or Paul to start Favors, but no other complaints for Ty he did as good a job as possible.
We all know the spurs are good, I dont think many questioned that Pops with the 3 second timeout play before half would put points on the board. Jazz got CRUSHED this whole series inside the paint… thats horrifying.
Its concerning that Al’s last few post ups in the game looked like he could have easily posted in the paint all game long instead of outside J’s. The man does not draw fouls…. hes a f!@#ing NBA center and draws no fouls.
Favors and Kanter busted their asses and should start next game in principle IMO. Send a message for next season.
Evans … another DNP….WTF????
Favors deserves to start over Al in this series. Even when we went ‘big’, they would put Bonner in and pull Favors out to the three line, then attack our defensive weak link in the paint. We all know who that is by now.
It was disheartening to feel like the Jazz were playing well and look up and see we’re down by 13.
Quick Question: Remember the rumoured three team deal around the trade deadline that was going to send howard to the spurs but didnt go ahead. Was Green involved in that stalled deal?
Yes…Green was coming to us in that deal.
Two words, Tony Parker
Devin Harris player of the game? OMG
Simple guys, we dont can win anything without a decent pg. Harris is not.
We cant win dont making free throws
Favors a beast.
Disappinted bout: Hayward, Jefferson. I think we could start Kanter next season at C no doubt, nad in Jefferson we have a tradeable piece.
The good news: Were a young potential champion team if we dont trade our bases.
Player of the game: Favors
Maybe Guido, maybe we have a young potential champion team, but where is the pilot of this plane ????
This series show us the difference between an efficiently drived team, and a team in real need of a collective plan, so many times in those games i said to myself, seeing us on the offensive side, we’re not going to score this one, again, and sometimes our players seemed to thought the same, they were to much on the individual mode, and with no solution against a collective team……. and it’s a shame with such a potential……
We are the Clippers before Chris Paul, so who will be our Chris Paul ????? because we clearly need someone to melt all these individuals potentials
well put french dude
Hayward’s biggest problem this series is that he played nearly all of his minutes along side Big Al, Harris, and Howard. A lot of the time they worked the whole shot clock w Big Al then with the last seconds on clock Hayward had to try and create. Hayward would try and fast break but no one ran with him???
Jazz lost game one in the 1st, game two in the 2nd, and game 3 in the 3rd. I pray howard does not resign.
Jazz 2 strongest players all series were Favors and Burks. How can Corbin not play Evans some??? Jazz just need to run and gun AND play D both if which involve Big Al sitting.
By draft jazz need Al, Harris, Watson, and Bell gone
@Jason you are not being harsh I was going to say that. I really truly feel Hayward is frustrated with defensive effort, the lineup change. I do not find it coincidence that Howard gets put in the lineup and Harris and Hayward offense goes down hill.. Carrol brings an energy that is contagious. Every quarter we have lost we have lost cause of no energy.
We did play better though I will say that. But if Al is shooting 18 foot jumpers all night do not expect that to go down all night.
The refs dispapeared in the 4th quarter last night. We were getting hammered by Bonner in the paint and nothing. There were three possessions In a row we got a foul on us and nothing was called. That was complete garbage
@Dallan
Al is the best shooter on the Jazz from 0-18 feet. Have you even watched him for more than the last month? You were right about him not having good D and that is blatantly obvious. But now it just sounds like you are just making stuff up to criticize him. Is he really the player you are going to comment about their offense when Millsap forgot we were playing and Hayward did absolutely nothing on offense. Just watch the freakin game. Please tell me another player you would rather have shoot an 18 footer on our team. If you say Hayward you should be banned from this website. Millsap is the only other decent shot from that range. But he still isnt as good from there. Be reasonable for once.
@Everyone: This could be an historical post season if we trade well. Im sure of that.
PLEASE WE NEED A PG!!!!
@JRN he is?? Cause the stats say he shoots 42% from that range both Hayward and Harris are 47% so who is right and who is wrong. You forget I back up my comments with stats not just opinions. I was not just referring to last night.
@Dallan
Dont know where you got your stats. But the ones I just got from Hoopdata.com (an affiliate of ESPN if you are questioning the legitimacy)reads as follows
From 10-23 feet:
Al:195-478 =41%
GH:74-188 =40%
DH:52-128 =41%
the closer you move in it only gets better for Al but if you want I can pull up 0-10 Feet if you want.
Not only does Al shoot the same or better, his percentage is tougher because he took almost three times as many shots from that range. And with all of the airballs from those two this year you would really give it to them?
here is a link if you want to stat check:
