Danny Green’s sources say…
Posted by: J.C.2. on July 1st, 2012
The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.A few of Danny Green’s sources on a few websites (including a Spurs website) say Danny Green feels Utah would be a “perfect fit” for him. Good news as most fans want to see the defensive/three point specialist come to the Jazz. I believe we have a very good chance at signing him. Anyone have anything to say?

I think he’d be a perfect match for us as well. God knows we need someone with range, and anything on defense is fantastic. I’d love to see him in a Jazz jersey.
Yes will be the perfect fit, no doubt. We re waiting for u.
Come Danny we need you, no doubt a perfect fit
I agree a perfect fit in deed
Does anybody now if he is a 2 or a 3?
A little small for the 3, but can play both the 2 and 3. Most like a 2 in our system. Which means Hayward at the 3.
Or Hayward at 2 and Green at 3. Either way works.
Danny Green would be a great signing, I hope it happens.
that would be great, let’s sign and trade for him and unload bell and watson for him.
I believe the Jazz will use our MLE to try and get him. Spurs gave him a qualifying offer of about 2.7 million.
Is Danny Green a 2 or3?
Jake; I answered that in my previous replies.
Oh my bad sorry
Check this bio..
Played all four seasons at North Carolina and averaged 9.4 points on .455 shooting and 4.1 rebounds in 145 games (39 starts)…won more games (123) than any Tar Heel in history…named to the ACC All-Defensive Team, the All-ACC Third Team and the NCAA South Regional Tournament Team…finished his college career as the only player in ACC history to tally at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 three-pointers, 150 blocks and 150 steals and is the only player in North Carolina history to record 100 or more blocked shots and three-point field goals…as a senior averaged 13.1 points on .471 (184-391) shooting, including shooting .418 (77-184) from three-point range, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks in 38 games (all starts) as North Carolina won the 2009 NCAA Championship…scored in double figures in 26 games…was second in the ACC in three-point percentage (.418), sixth in steals (1.8) and 10th in blocks (1.3)…scored a career-high 26 points
Pros- everything mentioned above, talented defensive minded wing that shoots well from the perimeter. Learned how to play team ball in San Antonios effective system last season. HE WANTS TO PLAY HERE! Makes Harris somewhat expendable as a SG if that’s the plan
Cons- unless he is willing to play backup SG he will take quality minutes from Harris (if moved to SG alongside Williams), Hayward, Burks, Murphy Shan Foster lol
Another Con worth mentioning is that according to David Lockes stats, Haywards numbers were much better playing the 2 over playing the 3 and the team was better when he played the 2
Can you imagine adding another defensive minded tar heel that has outside range at SF and also rebounds very well for his position. Bring on Marvin Williams KOC!
Starters- Mo Williams/Hayward/Marvin Williams/Millsap/Favors
2nd unit- Burks/Green/Carroll/Ilyasova/Kanter
Reserves- Tinsley/Murphy/Evans
With Harris and Big Al gone, my only other pipe dream besides Marvin Williams at SF would be Igoudala but I think Williams would be a more practical and affordable compliment to the roster
Ilyasova wont sign on to be a backup.
He wont thats why we need to trade paul so we can put erson in at the 4. My only problem with danny green is where do we put him. The jazz most likely going to resign carol howard wants to come back and, burks needs time to develope as well as we need to see what murphys got. So well need to get rid or bell and howard maybe even carol if we even think about bringing in danny green. Love him though. As a player and think he would be a great fit on the team
I got excited when the Jazz were in trade talks with Minnesota and the Spurs at the trade deadline, about a deal that would have sent out Howard and brought in Danny Green in return. The deal didn’t go through, but now we have a chance to sign Green and let Howard walk. Hopefully that’s what happens
I would give my left nut for Danny Green.
Is Danny Green a restricted or unrestricted free agent?
