I’m happy with it. Evans brings a good attitude, youth, athleticism and a decent salary.
about damm time … there’s promise in the guy. he would have been somewhere else and jazz management would be slapping themselves because he will be great off the bench. DEFENSE!!!! some seems to forget its part of the game/ Evans can average 2 blocks easily.
@agreed pintz11, Evans averaged .08 blocks per game, thats about 1block per game……IN 7 MINUTES!!!! 2 blocks would be cake. Evans had 37 DNPs last year tho, Corbin needs to find away to get him some PT. If Millsap leaves, that is one of the benefits.
Very happy about this deal. Evans brings lots of energy, hustle, and offense off the bench, and for dirt cheap.
Lets stop pretending that Jeremy Evans is good enough to be a rotation player right now. He isnt. This was a bad contract in my opinion. I like having him around but we should have tried maybe 3yr/$4mil. He shouldnt be a rotation player yet. Too skinny, not much skill. If he keeps working hard it could happen.
How come when we argue over Al’s defense his high averages of blocking dont mean anything but for Jeremy it means he can be a defensive force? Lets have a little consistency when we argue please. I think all of you are just Al haters. Despite carrying our team all year and being far and away our best player he cant get any credit on here. You guys are RIDICULOUS! I understand not wanting to resign him for $15mil/per year but saying that we are better without him is straight up asinine.
Welcome back Evans

please thats a reasonable contract when this league is full of proven bums. folks were once calling for deandre jordan to be signed smdh .. overpaid 7ft player who cant get 10reb per game.. No one is calling for him to start but im sure he wont disappoint on the court with his energy plays. look how much ground he covered on that blocked shot.
@JRN If you can give me half of the games from last year where he “carried” our team I will believe that. But since we were barely above .500 and he plays horrific defense so that takes away most of his offense that he gives us he can not and did not carry us
KOC Needs to stop overpaying bench warmers
Good return!
Good deal!
