The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Ahhhh…It’s good to get back and into Jazz mode. MrsJazz and I spent 3 weeks in Mexico. I know, I know, I can see your tears running down your face with sorrow for us. We missed the preseason.
Back to the Hated Laker game. The Jazz “pickups” played better than the draft picks in this game. Randy and Mo are really nice additions. I liked how Big Al and the UnderCanter played notsoSuperman. I think the Lakers got the wrong end of the Bynum/Howard deal, except Bynum is out with an injury, which nobody could have foreseen.
Howard’s free throw shooting…well, how do you shoot an airball from the free throw line? Will Ty ever figure out Hack-A-Howard?
Enes and Derrick really need more time.
Despite Gordon’s poor offensive game, his defense was great. They just keep trying to test the “skinny kid” and end up getting embarrassed or blocked.
And, how about those classy Hated Laker fans? They came armed with their pepper spray and who knows what other weapons. Thank goodness for the metal detectors. For the most part they look like thugs and social outcasts. One guy near us stuffed his puke yellow gear in a birthday shopping bag on his way out.
When any other team comes to town, their fans are nicely dressed and well groomed for the most part. They know who the players and coaches are for their team and some of the team’s history.
A Hated Laker game looks like gang violence could break out at any minute, and it did with the pepper sprayers. The Jazz fans were probably luck they were only armed with pepper spray.
Such class.
They wonder why they are appropriately named the Hated Lakers.

We were offered 2 1/2 times the regular ticket price for our seats, which I would have taken, had they not been Hated Laker fans.
I just couldn’t justify further degrading the ESA for a few bucks. Plus, it’s sooooo much fun to watch the Hated Lakers lose!!!
Now, Jazz fans…yea, I could have taken a healthy bite out of my season ticket cost.
Could the Hated Lakers perform at this level for the rest of the year?

You are a true hero for ignoring the almighty dollar..This is why I hate pre season predictions. Most people have already given the Fakers the nod.I still say Howard will not hold up for the full season. Nash is already missing time and will miss more time. As great as he is his body will not take it. What I like most about these games is probably why you kept the tickets is the stupid look on kobe’s face when he is being beaten to the ground. I hope we see that face time and time again this season.
I still can’t figure out why to me, Urine Yellow is synonymous with human waste. But to the Lakers, they throw the color on their bodies and prance around with a flamboyant pride.
As for the Laker “fans”, I am NEVER amazed at their lack of class or distasteful actions. You have to be a special kind of person to cheer for a team like the Lakers so it shouldn’t surprise us when they take it a step further and resort to inappropriate violence. Funny thing is, when the Lakers win these tools are the loudest punks you ever met. But if the Lakers lose, they absolutely can’t handle the slightest trash talk. Every time a Laker fan buys a Jazz ticket when they play LA, the sale of that ticket should go directly towards the team Luxury Tax account. Then when we go over the Salary Cap, we can withdraw funds provided by these tools to pay for us to be better. Think about it Greg!

I would have sold it, for that price, to a Jazz fan and watched it at home, but I know the people around me and just couldn’t do that to them.
Ahhhh yes, the KobeMister. Isn’t that a piece of work. Great talant, but what an arrogant jerk.
I can’t see them living up to all the predictions with that bench.

Fakers were my favorite team when Jerry West played. When the Jazz came to town that ended all that. They are now close to the bottom shared by the Heat and Bulls..
Video of a disturbed Kobe Bryant sitting on the bench late in the Lakers’ loss to the Utah Jazz has gone viral as the “Kobe Death Stare.” Coach Mike Brown can be seen briefly and appears to be the target of Bryant’s anger. On Thursday, after practice, Bryant debunked that his ire was directed at Brown. “I’m too old to deal with that stuff. I really am,” said Bryant. “I’ve been his biggest supporter. You can call the color of their urine uniforms whatever you like. But that color still belongs in the toilet. I think the yellow in the Jazz color scheme looks more “gold” than the Lakers color. Theirs is brighter and more offensive to the eyes.
You’re right their uniforms look more vitamin C colored urine than gold.
It’s not so much the puke color, it’s the arrogance of the players/coaches/fans and tinsel town mentality. It’s the “buy championship” way of doing business. It’s the bandwagoning fans, who know little of their team and come to games to be more anti-Jazz fans than Hated Laker fans.
