Anthony Randolph is now unrestricted

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

The Timberwolves declined to make a qualifying offer to Anthony Randolph, making him an unrestricted free agent.  This is one guy that could float under the radar and be available to the Jazz at a reasonable rate.  He plays both forward spots, or even a little center … he is an unreal rebounder and shot blocker, and above average perimiter defender – especially for 6′11″ … He is great in transition, but doesn’t really look to score much except for dunks.

I have been watching Randolph since he came into the league with the warriors, hopefully KOC feels the same .. what do you think?

  1. Why do we need him?

  2. That’s all we need. Another Forward.

Screw it, our team should just be composed of Forwards. We’re already halfway there.

This is seriously the team a lot of you have been advocating for:

    Paul Millsap
    Derrick Favors
    Jeremy Evans
    Ersan Ilyasova,
    Antawn Jamison
    Anthony Randolph
    Andrei Kirilenko
    Ryan Anderson

Why not grab these guys too?

    Luis Scola
    Kevin Garnett
    Elton Brand

We could have Millsap plays point guard! Great team you guys have assembled!!!!!

  3. Zach says:

We basically need a versatile SF who can shoot and defend. AKA Ersan Ilyasova. We also need a shooter like Brandon Rush, Willie Green, Danny Green, etc.

  4. Can we please start a twitter campaign to bring in Ilyasova. Help me out Jazz fans!

  5. Steve says:

he only played 15 minutes a game.. he average 4pts 4 reb and 1 blk… he can’t shoot and he sounds a lot like cj miles, struggling with confidence and all that.

i would love to get brandon rush or danny green. i prefer rush, but green would be great!

  6. What we need is a forward, someone to play the 3 spot …Randolph is a natural 3 even though he is 6′11 … There is already chatter that the spurs are interested in Randolph. He will end up a cheap signing some team like San Antonio because he only got to play 15 mpg last season.

…I really like Ilyasova’s game, and he is exactly the kind of 3/4 we would love to have … but he will be well out of our range, by millions.

  7. Randolph is not a natural three oh my gosh just stop talking now
