Loving this News….

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz. For anyone that listened to Locke’s tip-off this morning, you heard the news that the Jazz will be playing Burks almost exclusively at PG during summer camp. This is huge in my opinion and something I wanted them to try all 2nd half of last season. If Burks plays well at point, this opens up a ton of opportunity for us. Suddenly we’re looking at a starting line-up in a year or two that could be Burks, Hayward, un-named SF, Favors, and Kanter. Love this line-up. I’ll be pulling for Burks this summer – I really want to see him succeed at PG.

I agree that Burks at point makes total sense. If we could get in the lottery then we could get someone like Jeremy Lamb who is a great outside shooter. We will soon find out what OKC has up his sleeve.
I meant KOC.
I LOVE THIS NEWS!!! Locke totally was depressing me making it seem like we are stuck with Al and vets that are pretty bad, but this news made my day!!! By halfway next year Burks and Favors will be Jazz best players.
I say abort the Lillard trade, KOC!!!!
If Burks is moving to PG, Beals becomes top if Jazz board hopefully Lillard was a decoy like Knight last year everyone made it seem he was the guy, then Jazz got Kanter.
Hayward can play the 3, with Beals at the 2. If not MKG or Barnes. Jazz need a top 5 pick to land one if the three.
New Draft Board:
Beals
MKG/Barnes (who ever is there at 5)
I heard that. I LOVE the idea of Burks playing some PG.
Hahaha! Mark Jackson was being extored cuz of his affair. Karma a b**** !! Thats what he gets for coaching a team to throw games. Typical.
I’m sorry, but I just don’t see Burks as a point guard. One thing the guy proved this season is that he doesn’t like to pass the ball.
Alec Burks is a SG. PG is an entirely different position and skillset. You can’t just take a 2 and magically turn him into a 1. All of the best point guards have been working on those skills for years, and played point guard at their colleges.
Burkes is good, fast, and will turn into a legitimate guard in the NBA, but point guard? We already have Devin Harris who is a natural 2 trying to play 1.
heard of russell westbrook?
Love it ! Do worry about nickknowsnothing , burke has great court vision and will develope nicely
Ooooh ZING!!! Good one, Jazzed uponit! Real original. Never heard that one on this site before.
