What the Jazz need now is ruthless aggression

I have noticed lately on this web site that you guys have been asking for trades, and even new coaches, this is not what the Jazz need. The Jazz are set up perfectly the guys are comfortable with each other you never hear about the players clashing with one another or the coaching staff. What the Jazz need is Ruthless aggression. If any of you have done anything involving  competitive you would know that when someone makes a play on you it makes you sick from what I saw in the San Antonio game they let guys fly right by them let them take uncontested 3’s, and the Jazz lost the game because they didn’t have the drive to knock some people over, and take the game. Our team is full of talent there is no reason why they can’t win. I don’t know about you, but I want to see the Jazz get ruthless step in front of guys don’t back down, and give up easy lay ups get a hand up against outside shots instead of hoping for a miss, and most important don’t be afraid to foul hard, and put guys on the ground, now don’t go out, and be a jerk don’t get in fights there is no room for that in basketball, if I want to watch guys beat on each other I can turn the channel I can go to UFC. All we as fans are asking for is hard nose play that Matt Harpring, used to bring to the game, don’t flagrant foul someone, but don’t be afraid to put someone who is lighting the team up down with a hard foul show me ruthless aggression!!

The Jazz lack an emotional and passionate leader! Either a player and/or coach. Earl Watson has come close to being that person, especially when he went after Dirk when Dirk slapped the ball out of Favors’ hands.

Oh yeah I forgot about that, that was a perfect example I love how Earl was standing up for his fellow team mate, and friend, and I would have loved to see him plow Dirk on the next play.

  3. Raja and Earl have it most of the time. Millsap has it in a quieter way. But I agree with you, I like it when we don’t back down and things can get a little chippy. I don’t know if you remember but we all know John, Karl, and Harpring had it, but even Coach Hornaceck had it I think. I remember numerous times he would get in little scuffles and frustrate opposing players. Good post.

Perhaps ruthless aggression and ‘everyone getting along beautifully’ are mutually exclusive…

What the JaZz need is someone who can shoot the three and to defend the three. If Harris had a decent SG or SF who could shoot the ball and score he would play better. His only option is to dump the ball into Al or Milsap and watch Hayward and Bell stand around and watch. If Hayward had any game at all we wouldn’t be in re-building mode, but watching the JaZz compete and winning….He was brought to be an outside threat and disappoints night in and night out. I mean come on 6 points, 3 turnovers, 2 assists for a starting SG???? I know, I know in 10 years he will be a good player……
