#7
Center, 7 ft., 250 lbs.
25 Years Old, 4 Year Pro.

2010-11 Season Stats:
21.9 ppg.
5.4 rbp.
1.7 apg.
A. Bargnani would be a great fit for the Jazz. He doesn’t have an outrageous contract, he is low key (not a crazy player like J.R. Smith), he’s a big man who drives the lane, muscles his way in the paint, and can shoot the three consistently. He’s a x10 better version of Okur. Raptors are in a rebuilding stage and a trade for him in exchange for Okur, Miles, one of our later draft pick would be worth it.
Think of it. A front line of Jefferson and Bargnani (6-10 and 7-0), a back up of Millsap and Favors (6-8 and 6-10), and Elson (7-0) as an extra player would be killer! Resigning AK for 5-8 million per year would be fantastic and keeping Hayward on the bench to grow and learn would be sweet! Jeremy Evans and maybe a pickup PG or SG from the D-League would give us some extra depth. Our Top 10 draft pick player from New Jersey will help us our at any position we needed. And if we let go one or two of our other players (Fesenko and Price) and pick up a SG via Free Agency and put Raja on the bench, we’ve got a serious basketball team on our hands with Harris and Watson at the point.
We’ve got the speed (Harris, Favors, Watson, Evans). We’ve got the height (Jefferson, Favors, Bargnani). We’ve got the inside threat (Harris, Favors, Jefferson, Evans, Bargnani). We’ve got the outside threat (Hayward, Harris, Bargnani, Raja, [hopefully another shooting SG]). We’ve got the youth (Hayward, Favors, Evans, our future draft pick). We’ve got the prime (Millsap, Jefferson, Harris, Bargnani, [hopeful SG]). We’ve got the veterans (Raja, Elson, AK).
This team could really contend next year if we get it done. I say work out the kinks, get a solid deal, and pull the trigger KOC!
What say ye?

You really think the Raptors would trade Bargnani for an injured Memo, and inconsistent Miles, and some future draft pick?
Jason’s right, the Raptors are already so bad, they wouldn’t trade away 21.9 ppg for next to nothing. Even if they would do it, I don’t think Bargnani’s the answer. For a 7′ starting center playing 36 minutes per game, 5.4 rebounds isn’t very good. We’re already one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA. What we really really really need is outside shooting, and while 34% is decent, it wouldn’t really make the problem go away. He is also quite a poor defender which is definitely not a good thing for the Jazz. We need to get a center who does what centers are supposed to do: clog the paint, grab the boards, and be mean and tall. Al’s doing well but I still don’t consider him a true center, because he is not. We need to do everything in our power to get a true center and like 3 guys that can shoot from outside as well as penetrate.
5 rebounds in 36 minutes for a 7 footer !!!!!!!! and you say he muscle his way in the paint, seriously !!!!
and what about ANTE TOMIC?
EQUAL VALUE, EQUAL VALUE!!!!!! Almost every single trade proposal on this site is a killer deal for the Jazz and a terrible deal for the other team, which is why they will never happen. Yes, I would love this deal. But no way in heck would the Raptors accept this.
Not only would the raptors not trade there franchise player, but why would we want to bring in another big man that can’t play defense or rebound??
I day trade CJ, Raja and Fesenko to Houston for Kevin Martin. We need a bonefied scorer and we are that much closer to being a complete team. As far as another big goes the Jazz worked out Enes Kantor the other day. Just YouTube him he looks like he has some skills.
If the Raptors would do it I say HECK YES!
