Poll: Kanter, Knight, or other

Posted by: Jason Crannell on June 20th, 2011

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

Assuming the Jazz don’t make any trades in these last few days leading up to the draft, and that Irving and Williams are off the board in the first two picks, who would you most like to see the Jazz draft with the third selection?

A. Enes Kanter

B. Brandon Knight

C. other (please specify who)

No long winded explanations needed (LOL). Also, this poll isn’t dealing with the 12th pick (only the third choice). I hope to get as much participation as possible. And please…no going off on tangents…LOL.

  1. drew says:

    B. Brandon Knight all the way

  2. My vote is for Knight.

  3. Henri says:

    A. Kanter

(but if the wolves can’t deal their 2nd pick, I see them drafting him over Williams)

  4. Apparently alot of people who have viewed this post have no opinion on the matter. Draft burn out?

  5. drew says:

@Jason – no not a draft burnout, people that dont have accounts that cant comment and are too lazy to comment… :)

  6. Jazz fans aren’t lazy…they are passionate!!

  7. Kanter is a safer pick, since we won’t get a decent big at #12 but we can get a decent PG/SG at #12.

So B. But everything changes depending on what the T’Wolves do with that pick! I wish we knew!

  8. drew says:

@Jason – Jazz fans totally are passionate, the most passionate in the league, but they, ok, you got me

  9. So far…Kanter 2 votes…Knight 2 votes…

  10. Jonas gets a vote…

  11. A or jimmer fredette depends on the situation. If its clear someones taking him before 12 take him at 3

  12. I’ll chalk Mike up for Kanter…since it’s unclear where Jimmer will fall. He could still be around at 12.

  13. Kaleb says:

    Brandon Knight.

  14. Scotty T. says:

I say kanter. Also the jazz can’t make any trades until the draft anyway. So there is no knowing what will happen until the clock starts on the first pick.

  15. Kanter – 4 votes
    Knight – 3 votes
    Valanciunas – 1 vote

  16. Woody Palmer says:

    Knight

@Scotty T. -Gordy Chiesa said on kFan that trades can happen now they just probably wont until draft night

  17. Kanter – 5 votes
    Knight – 4 votes
    Big V – 1 vote

  18. Scotty T. says:

I stand corrected. I thought otherwise but just researched it and you are correct.

  19. I’d prefer trading up to get Williams, but would take Kanter at the three if Williams is off the board.

  20. C: Trade the #3 for to the Lakers for 2 secound rounders and draft Matt Howard and Jackson Emery.

  21. robert says:

kanter all the way………go big guy hee hehhe hee

  22. A.G. says:

    Knight

At this point in Harris’ career he’s little more than a decent back up PG. I like Devin, but we need young blood at PG that can grow into a leadership role with this team.

  23. TACOREV says:

At this point I don’t even know who I want anymore… I think I’d be fine with anyone but Vesely (so Knight, Kanter, or Valunciunas)

  24. My ideal situation is that we trade down to the 6th or 7th pick and draft Jimmer, if we don’t trade down then draft

    Brandon knight

Mike: If Jimmer is on the board at 12 and we do draft Knight at 3 I think Jimmer is still a no-brainer pick for the Jazz. We need a back-up point guard anyway, and Knight will be more of a combo guard alongside Harris for the next few years anyway. A Jimmer-Knight future backcourt is just beautiful to me. Jimmer will undoubtedly be the best pick available at 12 and he fills a big need for the Jazz.

  25. Kanter – 8 votes
    Knight – 7 votes
    Big V – 1
Matt Howard and Jackson Emery – 1 (LOL)

    TacoRev is undecided…

Wow…as anticipated you have firm supporters for both Kanter and Knight…

  26. I like Harris! so Kanter, but wishing twolves are smart and Williams falls!

  27. shawn says:

    i vote kanter

  28. Chase says:

    Knight!!!!!!!!!!

  29. Guido says:

Hey! Cavs work out Kanter again today.

So, i repeat first choice: D Will 2.0
but the answer for the question is, again, Knight at 3, Jimmer at 12, and trade Harris for a veteran big C

  30. JRN5150 says:

    Knight.
Hoopshype posted that Valanciunas is close to a buyout agreement but will NOT play in the NBA next year.

  31. pirate7212 says:

Kanter, or Kemba Walker, not Knight, He’s too weak. Take a look at this if you don’t believe me on Knight.

  32. Adam says:

I was a big Knight fan until this past week. I don’t want him anymore. D-Will all over again.

    Kanter is my pick

  33. Patrick says:

Both….. Grab 2nd, or get the 4th. Take them both. They roomed together, like each other, and would make a good match for Hayward and Favors. Hmm young long term team. Yay.. Then we just need to nab another pick and Take Harris or Singleton. That would be a young core of Knight, Hayward, Harris, Favors, Kanter.. Al, Harris, Millsap, Bell, Okur and Miles as the journeymen except who ever you trade away to get Kanter.

  34. Kanter, although I’d be happy with Knight as well. I wouldn’t mind both if we made a trade…

  35. TACOREV says:

I don’t want to be the “undecided” person, like some kind of square, so my choice is Knight. But like I said, I’ll be fine with any of them as long as it’s not Vesely. Fortunately I don’t think it’s very probably that we take Vesely, and I’m glad nobody around here is calling for him to be chosen

  36. Adam says:

I would love Vesley if we were at the 6th spot like it was expected originally

  37. A.G. says:

I watched the NBA draft preview last night on NBATV and all three analysts were pretty high on Kemba Walker. One of them went so far to say that he’ll be the best PG of this draft.

  38. The Dude says:

You dont pass up on a possible dominant big man, plain and simple. Deron Williams was worth a 3 pick, Brandon Knight is no Deron Williams, nor will he ever be. You have to spend the 3rd pick on Kanter, or try and trade the pick to Minnesota with Raja Bell or C.J Miles and get the 2nd pick, then you can take Williams, and with the 12 you can take a shooter. Please Kevin O’Connor, do not take Knight, it is a mistake.
