Matt Harpring Now an NBATV Commentator

I just thought it was interesting this morning to turn on NBATV, and see former Jazzman’s New Job will be a Commentator for the Show NBA Gametime, and possibly for Jazz Games on the Station which would be sweet. Good Luck Matt! And it sucks that FSN didn’t offer him a position, but it’s how things go, and David Locke should Interview him on 1320 KFAN about this!

Yeah he just bounces in and out of there once in awhile

  2. Colby says:

He was on there a few times during the season too

  3. David says:

Am on the Pursuit of Happiness

I was watching a video on NBA.com about Carmelo Anthony and noticed that Harpring was one of the commentators and thought that was way cool.

I would like Matt on FSN but he kinda annoyed me when he did the Jazz games last season it seemed like every game he always said(about ever player whether starter or a bench player) “Now you don’t wanna get this guy started, if you get this guy started he will streak”
Seriously, Matt Bonner would make one shot and “Now you don’t want to get Bonner started, when he gets started he will streak on you” lol. He said it almost ever broadcast.

I would really like to see Darrell Griffith be a commentator. It made me so happy watching his recent interview and finding out that he still loves basketball so much and that he follows the Jazz every year now as a fan.
It means so much to hear ex-players say they still love their team and continue to watch them.

  7. Chase says:

He was on NBA Game Time quit a bit last year.

  8. @Colby, I didn’t hear Harpring say that at all when he sat in with Boler’ and Boone, but I laughed imagining it. I think that it’s awesome that Matty is on NBA TV regularly now. It will give the Jazz much needed publicity and I’ve already heard him talk about the Jazz yesterday and it’s always supportive.
