Meet
Ahhhh Hayward……..

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Way to let us down again…. Terrible shooting (as usual) As many turnovers as assists (again as usual) and a small factor though out the game. While watching the game down here in Phoenix, even the Raptor’s announcers were wondering why Hayward was still in the game at the end. They even made a few jokes about it. (how sad). Corbin made a huge mistake by keping him in the game and it helped cost them the game. That and we still have NO ONE that can shoot an outside shoot. I have always defended Corbin but i’m starting to wonder. He took Harris out of the game and let him sit when he was finally looking like the Harris of old and he never returned (again how sad). We would have better off with CJ or Burkes in the game than Hayward, no one could have done worse. The Raptors won for the first time in Utah since (I believe) 2004. Hayward has never impressed me and continues to disappoint, It’s going to be a long season when we hit the road…….

i agree, Hayward has some sort of magical playing time card .. the same one Harris and Bell have … he hasn’t earned the starting role … perplexing … i like Miles lately, or Howard.
Howard was 0 – 5 and Miles was horrific on defense. Kleiza made him look like a d leaguer. While, I agree Hayward was plain out awful tonight – Corbin has yet to learn he’s best at SG not SF. Yeah, he’s tall but he’s better coming off those screens than bell.
Hayward was terrible tonight. But saying it’s usual for him to have as many turnovers as assists is wrong.
Really though, aside from Millsap, pretty much everyone was really bad tonight.
Harris showed a good game. Except hitting the free throws at the end. You gotta hit free throws in the NBA. They’re called FREE throws for a reason – they should be free points!
@Jazzman, of the many issues you raised, the one that troubles me most deeply is Utah’s lack of strong outside shooting. It makes things tough late in a tight game where points are hard to come by. For the long term, this is why Hayward and Burks MUST become excellent perimeter shooters.
You are right, Haywards career stats APG 1.5 and TO 1.1 ….. So I was wrong by .4
Who ever keeps defending that bum heyward talking about he’s better at Sg than sf stfu .. he’s a plain bum and is not better than Burks or cj. And stop hating on miles because he is better and plays hard out there.. josh Howard should never have came in before as they were playing great while he was out.. ease him back in.. I said it before Burks cannot play any worse than that bum heyward and these jazz fans who keep riding his shytty bandwagon talking about future star lol stfu because Burks is the future star on that team… No killer instinct milsap can only do so much and no excuses for Jefferson because the team was rolling with devin and favors ..
@Pintz – Learn how to spell(Hayward) before you go off on a rant and maybe people will continue to read it.
shut that shyt up.. He still corny and im guessing ur one is his future all star supporter smdh.. He needs to be coming off the bench. who the hell can he guard people always talking defense cmon . he cant even guard left bench. burks definitely have outplayed that bum.. Who ever keeps talking about trade miles dont know basketball ..
Pintz is easily the most annoying of anyone on this site. He can’t string one sentence together properly. That said, I have a hard time listening to his opinions. Jc Swan is right on the money. I just skip pintz’ statements.
What the truth hurts kevin… face the fact that gordon hayward is just not good. tag him as a bust whether he plays sg or small forward… people needs to stop covering up for him playing sf.. he just plays with no heart and intensity. he don’t fight through screens etc. how is he suppose to even guard sg’s in this league and im sure u was one of the many saying he should guard kobe lol.. dont worry how proper these sentences are dckhd ..
You guys are pretty silly. Lets take a closer look..
Hayward 2 pnts, 7 reb, 3 ast, 2 st, 1 blk, 4 to, 36.59 mins, 1 – 9 shooting. +/- +12
Miles/Howard 11 pnts, 7 reb, 0 ast, 1 st, 0 blk, 2 to, 36.46 mins, 4 – 16 shooting. +/- -14,-15
So, Miles and Howard got some more points. Who had the better game? Take Hayward out and put who in to replace him? Who has earned starting positions?
This is almost as sad as saying free throw shooting made us lose and then blaming only Harris for the loss. Why not look at how their bench outscored our bench? How we only had 4 – 18 3pnt shooting? How other guys on their team hit clutch shots that they dont usually make.
