Where have all the Jazzbots gone?

Posted by: JC on November 8th, 2010

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

Wasn’t it just a wee bit ago that you would come to this site and comment on someone’s wonderful blog post about the Jazz doing this, or the Jazz doing that, or that the team really needs to be thinking about trading for this one player.
After which you could join in on some fun banter in regards to why that person is crazy, or spot on,  should think about doing research, or doesn’t have a clue?

Where have those times gone?

Perhaps when/if they announce new Jazzbots this site will start pumping out the jams again (literally).

Hello people, are you out there?

Let’s talk about how Deron Williams hasn’t really shown up this season yet. I’m not talking about his good 2nd half vs the Clip-ship either. I’m talking about the fact that he has struggled mightily this young season (pre-season included). Is he on a cruise with the Jazzbots?

“Mission Control to DWill, you’re clear for take off … uh … DWill, are you there?”

I watch the games, I’ve seen how our team’s attitude has been; and while I’m patient for them to gel, I want to know where our “fearless leader” has gone. Have we been leading by example on the floor?

I hope someone really rails me for my anti-DWill sentiments because I can’t believe how harsh I am feeling towards this guy so far this season. Please put together a string of 4 or 5 games that are consistent, where you shoot the ball OVER 45%, hit your FT’s, average double figure assists, AND less than 5 TO’s per game. Please, please, please.

Now, can anyone tell me where all the Jazzbots have gone? I miss them too.

James Seaman, are you there? Inspire me with your heart-felt wisdom and passion induced banter. I need a Jazz pick me up in the worst way.

NOTE: this post was not proof read, spell checked, or grammar tested, and can barely be endorsed by it’s sports sick writer.

PS: GO JAZZ!

I agree with you and it’s really frustrating to watch. To be honest I don’t think i’ve seen D-Will hit a shot in his “sweet spot” right inside the 3 point line in the middle. (And where are the crossovers and the -And 1- finishes?)

Still wouldn’t have any other point guard in the league, but i’d just like to see the competitive D-Will we know.

    Is the 2010 Deron the 2009 CP3? I hope not…

Dignan – we were just talking about that … I’m hoping we don’t suffer through a Carlos Arroyo like early season.

… I don’t think we will, but still, after 13 games (preseason included, minus the one game he missed), I want consistency from our elite!

I think some people are taking a break. I haven’t seen James, Champ, Adam, or many of the others on here in a while. Yeah, the Jazzbot nation seems to have a lapse.

As for Dwill, there have been a few mentions about the Jazz go where Dwill goes. In his games against the Thunder and Toronto he was gold. In the Thunder game he was 50% from the field, (hit is only 3pt) and was 3/3 from the charity stripe. In his game against Toronto he hit 50% of his shots (missed all 3pts though) Hit 8/9 on freethrows, 14 assists, 3 TO. Only in the 2 loses to the Nuggets and the Suns was Deron not 50% from the field.
Also that 1 game against the Warriors was his only game he was above 5 TO, but 8 is a big number.

In the games when Deron has looked strong AND he wanted the win (other than the Suns game) they won. Its a toss up though. We are seeing our Allstar pulling us through games, but seeing Milsap being consistantly good. We see big all progressively getting better every night. So what is the problem in our losses? Is it sometimes that lack of determination in some of those games? I think the rebounding has to be a big factor, as our rebounding has not been so good. (There was a post on this) And I think also our bench. We just got Fes back, and he looks better then what we are used to seeing from seasons past.

Also Hayward is getting a lot of playing time for a rookie, but although he is still having some bumbs, he is looking really good. I think soon we will start to see some major things from him.

Hey now. I’ve only been absent in substance and worthwhile content. I’ve been present otherwise. In fact, I have given people several opportunities to tell me that I don’t have a clue. If you need me, I’ll be out with the others…playing Horse with Kyle Korver and Greg Brady.

No one really comments anymore Trevor, it has me feeling down. But I loved your post on hilarious vids

    JC,
I can’t speak for any of the Jazzbots but myself and right now I am in kind of a state of shock. I can’t
figure this team out. I was pretty sure the 8 and 0 preseason record was not indicative of how the Jazz would do, but I am searching for a reason they are playing like they are. I was in the middle of writing a great article about CJ (or so I thought) until he just kind of fell apart the last couple of games. It is hard to make generalizatons about a team with only 6 games played, but there are certainly other aspects of Jazz basketball we could be wrting about. So here is a comment I am sure will generate some controversy: I MISS BOOZER, KORVER and WESLEY. Yes I meant to yell about it.

    ITS KID CUDI #1

  9. JC says:

2 things, Kid Cudi is actually #2, Deb, This team has been unpossible to figure out, I mean, impossible to figure out. Jekyl and Hyde.

My thoughts were hot start, slow middle, strong finish.

Hopefully the improvement chart isn’t a curve, but a straight line, going at about a 120 degree angle and not a bell curve.
