Phoenix get’s Josh Smith

Atlanta Gets The low post scorer in Al Jefferson

Utah Gets Jeff Teauge And Gortat

maybe throw in a draft pick to Atlanta.

Not bad actually. Turns Al into a PG and rotation C, which is exactly what we need.

Its hard to know what other teams actually want as I don’t follow every team closely like the Jazz, but I think Phoenix would like that deal and it doesn’t seem bad for Atlanta either as Josh Smith has wanted out of there and Al can replace his scoring. Let’s include Raja Bell so we don’t have to waive anybody (including him…don’t want to waive him til he can’t join another team lol).

One thing would be poor Devin Harris would have to play with Al again lol.

  2. KCJones says:

Here’s the trade with Raja Bell included. This keeps the number of players traded/received the same for all three teams, which is important because they all have 15.

  3. Dan says:

Atlanta already has al horford. So there isn’t room for 2 starting centers. They would rather have millsap I’m sure.

  4. KCJones says:

Don’t you know the NBA did away with the Center position? It’s ‘frontcourt players’ now. Just look at the All-Star ballots.

  5. jrock801 says:

yeah that is true bout raja i forgot about the max on the roster. I just Thought it’d be better to take on teauge instead of getting tied into dragic’s contract.

  6. Dan, Atlanta has said they want Horford to move back to his origional position at PF.

  7. Steve says:

I actually like that deal a lot, one that could actually work. I do think if the deal involves teague, there would be multiple draft picks sent to ATL. He’s playing really well, and is still only like a 3rd yr guy.

  8. Jazzaholic says:

Doesn’t really help with the playoffs, in fact, hurts, but good for future. Good trade for the Jazz, except they need to include another player. Yes, Toxic Raja would be good, but I don’t think ATL takes this deal anyway, because they want to keep Teague.

Gortat and Teague both have reasonable salaries.

  9. Andy says:

Ya this trade is a no brainer for Utah. Jeff Teague looked like an elite pg in the playoffs last year and Gortat is a solid rebounding-oriented 7 footer.
I think PHX would do it in a heart beat as well.
We would probably have to send a pick to ATL like you mentioned, but this is still a plausible deal.

Best thing about this is everyone except for Gortat is on expiring deals meaning that if they don’t work out, no team is really screwed.

There you go. Try that one.
Utah gets Gortat, Teague, and Marshall
    Atlanta gets Jefferson and Tinsley
    Suns gets Smith and Foye

    Where do I sign??

  12. jack says:

@ KC Jones I love your trade
@ Patrick I looooove your trade

  13. why would Atlanta do this?

  14. I honestly dont like the trade we Are trading milsap or big al to free up time for favors. Not bring in anther big to take up more time that favors and kanter deserve to get

  15. ST Spalding says:

With SAS now in the H Smith sweep stakes how about this trade:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine/?tradeId=cxeye4e

ATL – Al Jeff, Patty Mills and SAS pick/s
UT – Teague, S Jackson and Splitter (all three in final yr)
    SAA – Josh Smith

Jazz would need to make roster moves – send Raja packing and Murphy back to D league.
