A Thought!

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz. How does Eric Gordon sound? The guy lit us up before and I’m sure he could light us up again. He’s an awesome offensive presence both inside and out. Great three point shooter… Him with Gordon I could see work out very well… He can run the point if he needs too!
He’s testing free agency and I’m not aware of our cap situation at all but what about a possible sign and trade deal? We have pieces to trade!
Just a thought! Either that or take a risk and pick up Brandon Roy…
Your thoughts on my thoughts?

Greg Oden would be a risk. Brandon Roy is retired
I like Eric Gordon, and if he could play the point for us he could be a real asset. I’m not sure how we would pull off a sign and trade though. I don’t think the Hornets need a big, and that is probably what we would give them (Big Al I’m thinking).
If we could sign him for a reasonable contract and not overpay, let’s bring him aboard!
Would love to see it happen however he is much sought after and may be looking at a bigger market.I would sign and trade anyone but the “Four” to get him.
I like the thought, just dont see it happening. The team has the option of to match any offer. They wont let him go for anything we can offer. With Gordon, Okafer and Ariza under contract, then drafting Davis, they actually look like a team…
Eric Gordon is clearly a top five SG in the league. His injuries last year were unfortunate, especially when looking at NOLA’s record when he was in uniform. Given that they won the Anthony Davis sweepstakes, the chances of him resigning in NOLA increased, in my opinion. I also have heard that the Pacers are intersted, as would he, given that he’s from Indiana.
I would love to see him here, but I don’t know how it could work salary-wise.
Brandon Roy also would make some sense, but I think if he returns to the NBA, I think he’d take his chances with an absolute contender.
The reports that Roy is coming back would be a great story. I do feel he could be a great addition to this club. Playing a sixth man role and focus solely on scoring buckets.
Eric Gordon would be great… but then that negates the selection of alec burks… Alec needs minutes and eric gordon would take a lot of those minutes. Brandon Roy would not.
Adding eric gordon would basically put alec burks in the same position as derrick favors last year. Behind two guys that will take the majority of minutes, of course burks still needs to prove himself. But i feel there is something special about Burks.
Roy would come in knowing and understand that he has bad knee’s. He has to pace himself. There would be no arguing about his minutes because if he plays too much, its back to retirement.
