My thoughts are good about this. He’s better than Fez. Faster. He’s great in the rotation. Now we can keep Andrei at the 3 more. I’m excited. He’ll fit good into the rotation. But what does this bring Fez? IF there is a new rotation what is it?

Looks like he has great hands. Pretty quick to.

So pretty much i saw one jump shot in that entire thing, which was probably 5 ft from the rim. Haha to be more optimistic about it, he shoots(dunks) higher percentage shots. Welcome to Utah

  3. Andrew says:

As I’ve said before, there was a reason he started 52 games for SAS and Denver. He’s got great footwork and is great around the rim. His defense is adequate and he moves great without the ball. He’s athletic and quick to run down on fastbreaks. someone that would greatly help us against teams like LAL, SAS, and other tall teams.

Bring him would solidify our C/PF position making it easy on the lineup. If we sign him and Fes: (while Okur is Injured)

    C: Elson : Fes : Okur
PF: AJ : Millsap : Evans (if he bulks up)
SF: AK : MIles : Hayward : Evans
SG: Bell : Hayward : Jeffers
PG: Dwill : Price : Gaines

When Okur is Back He shifts to start with Elson Backing up.
The SG position needs another player unless Hayward or Jeffers proves they can play that position solidly.

He’s be awesome to add to our team

I think Jefferson starts a C when Okur is out. Millsap at the PF. When Okur moves in bring in Jefferson at the PF and Okur at C. When Okurs tired put Millsap in. When Jeffersons tired put Elson in.

    Where does this leave Fes?

    Fes = New Kosta Kufus

  7. Justin says:

    Look!

    He can catch a ball!

  8. Chase says:

AK needs to work the 4. I really hope Millsap and Jefferson start at the 4 and 5. Okur comes off the bench for Jefferson and AK for Millsap. But it could always be jumbled with Jefferson getting 4 minutes.

  9. Chase says:

Elson looks like a better Fes but nothing to be excited about. He’s only better then Fes in the way he goes up strong and runs the floor. It’s nice to have a little security with injuries like we did bringing Kosta in for limited minutes. But that’s about it. I don’t see Elson realistically making the team any better.

  10. Justin says:

I like Okur coming off the bench, because he will destroy any bench center out there except for maybe Shaq.

  11. Justin says:

Chase – How can you say Elson is nothing to be excited about, and you say that he’s an upgrade? Upgrades are something to be excited about! :)

  12. TACOREV says:

Even though he’s 34, Elson will bring something the Jazz have seldom had at the center position: athleticism. From the looks of that video, Elson will be one of the most athletic centers we’ve ever had, which will help phenomenally, especially against that one team from LA

Lets remember… these are highlights. i wanna see some game film of the guy before i think of putting him in the starting lineup.
Jefferson has the stats to back up what highlights show of him. Bell has been here before and we know what he brings. I don’t know about Elson. He looks good in these highlights, pretty quick and tall, which is something we haven’t had here.
He kinda reminds me of Officer Olden Polynice! haha
