Why Not?

There are rumors about Danny Green. I thought he played great for the Spurs and I dont know why they are getting rid of him. In my opinion, I’m also a HUGE FAN of Gary Neal. I’d trade Harris for that guy.
Would it work?
Money wise I’m not sure… If we were to trade Bell and Harris for Neal and Green I’d be a happy camper. However Green is not under contract so I cant plug him into the “Trade Machine”. That was just a Spur of the moment thought (no pun intended).
As for Korver… I would love to see him back. He’s aging a little so we could offer him a minimum contract. Maybe do a sign and trade with Bell and Watson or something. I would just love to see him back in a Jazz uniform.
Miles is gonna leave… Bell wants out… For some odd reason no one is high on Howard anymore (Probably cause of his performance in the playoffs). We lose 3 wing men, so why cant we grab 2?
I see it as this.
-Hayward and Millsap STARTING. (Dont shoot me for saying Millsap at the 3)
-Burks and Green and Korver KEY RESERVES
-Rookie Murphy as INSURANCE getting hopefully a few minutes at 2 or maybe even playing some 1.
Thats how I see our swingman arrangement if it plays out… will it? Probably not. But I think it’d be alright.

i totally agree kelton, thank you for finding a few players who are reasonable and within our reach!! Green is a great defender to bring off the bench also. Much Much better than an aging raja bell. Honestly people need to realize tha t burks can be the kinda guy who can average 18 points and 5 assists a game. He hustles on defense even if he gets beat he goes 100% in whatever situations. At times this season corbin would have been better to have him in then any other wing. He is a special kid who also, with some help could reach, knock-down shooter potential. He has a great attitude and thats what will help the jazz reach the championship level. Green works hard too and has that same humillity that can help you excell.
Honestly Raja is done in a Jazz uniform in the 2 years he has been hear he has done almost nothing for us we all no he is not the bell of old. So I don’t see what kind of value we could get out of him. Miles has been to inconsistant we don’t need him back so he can go play with dwill and dirk in Dallas. I really like josh Howard I don’t think he ever really got a fair chance with us considring he was injured for most of the year
I hope God was listening Miles – Carlisle talk, please get his blackass to Texas. Good article, I see Korver most easy to get, than Green too… just i think.
All u guys r trying to put at pg every one of our small kids…. Dont ya think we have actually 4 natural pgs (yes, also Harris) sg spot will be an interesting match u know? If all go as the natural courses, we get rid on CJ and Raja’s asses, and we have a BIG problem to get more guys.
Why bring korver back he didnt want to be here in the first place? Last time milsap is no three. He cant guard an sf, he cant even guard a pf that can spread the court and that can run. Danny green is a great idea he can guard a two or a three some fours even and he can spread the court as well. Great pick up if we can make it happen. We need to start talking about trades though. We have to many players in a few spots koc must have some thing planned. Maybe some thing big we have 4 pgs way to many big men whats going to happen?
Korver is a sh*tty basketball player. He plays no defense and can’t even create his own shot. But, seeing as how we’re one of the worst teams in the NBA at shooting the basketball, signing Korver as a bench player is a good idea.
I wouldn’t mind having him come off the bench for 5 minutes a game when teams are doubling our bigs in the paint.
Just park Korver on one of the wings waiting to take a 3 point shot. That’s all he’s good for.
Trevor: How can you say that Millsap isn’t a 3 when our big lineup was our most effective lineup by a mile. We tried it, it was a huge success, and there really isn’t much to debate about it. It was an amazing defensive lineup, so if Millsap can’t guard sf’s it sure didn’t hurt us, at all. I was surprised when he said not to kill him about it because the big lineup was such an overwhelming success. There is no doubt in my mind that Millsap can play the three in that lineup.
@Lance: The Big Lineup was’t even close to an “overwhelming success.” Are you serious? You have obviously never read a statistic in your whole life. Our team was at or below average in efficiency with the big lineup.
It worked for a couple of weeks, then teams just started double teaming our bigs, and there was nothing we could do about it, because no one on our team can shoot a basketball.
For proof of how good our big lineup was, look no further than our most recent playoff series.
Really hop
@Nick
I wouldn’t say our playoff series was lost cause of our big lineup. I would say it was lost for a couple reasons:
A) San Antonio was on fire, I mean honestly, the clippers didn’t even win a game against them. They dominated everything in their path until the Thunder rolled in.
B) Poor coaching. I love Ty. I think he is the right man for the job. I however didn’t like the fact that he started Howard over Carroll.
To be honest, the Jazz used the big line up maybe 4 times before the playoffs and in the playoffs they only used it for short periods of time on the floor.
I guarantee that Paul is working his tail off to develope better SF skills. So really, @Lance knew what he was talking about.
Lance we played that line up very few times no teams prepped for its so it worked the very few times we did it. Paul cant handle speed and length he had a ton of problems with guys like alridge garnet even a guy like channing fry for the suns. He reason they are fast and can go around him or shoot over him he isnt a three by anymeans and never will be. Are two pg set was great to for the same reason no one expected it. When they see it every game teams are ready for it and it becaomes ineffective.
