Why Vegas is Wrong

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.I was listening to a David Locke podcast on locked- on- jazz sports the other day and as I was listening to him interview Kevin Pelton my thoughts, beliefs and and hopes were confirmed. Although I don’t agree with everything he, nor David says on the podcast I do agree with alot of what they talk about, I would like to shed my light on the topic of what I project the Jazz will do this year. Where they end up in the West, and where they end up looking forward.
Lets start with the conversation where Kevin projects the Jazz don’t win 50 games and don’t make it to the playoffs! To me, this guy is ignorant of Deron Williams skill level. This guy is not only going to have his best year with assists, I think he will lead the team with steals, but with a close second with the likes of Raja, AK, Paul, and CJ. (Who I beleive will get close to double the amount of steals and rebounds this year) Playing witha defensive minded squad is going to help CJ that much more, I think he emerges as one of our go to guys, and one of D-Will’s favorite targets. All these players, and not to mention the two bigs (Big Al, and Memo) can and I beleive will contribute double digits on a nightly basis. Also with some occasional double digit nights from guys like Watson, Price, Ganes, Fez, Elson, Haward, Jeffers, Evans.
I project D-Will to lead the leauge in assists this year, going 15 pts, 12 ast, 2stl, 4 rb. I think his effort and competitivness leads the jazz in steals and Jazz lead the leauge in steals this season. As i said before I think CJ will double his steals from his careeer average to almost 2 steals per game. I think CJ goes for 14pts, 3 ast, 4rbs, 1.5stls this year. I’m looking for Paul Millsap to average 14 pts, 10 rbs, 3 ast, and a block. I think it would be safe to say Big Al will put of similar if not better numbers of Millsap and I think AK has a great year, similar to his numbers of last year, hopefully he just plays more games this year! Okur will add some offensive spark off the bench, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Jerry keeps him coming off the bench all year. He has proven himself off the bench in Detroit and I think he would fit into that role nicely.
So here’s my projection for the Jazz this 2011 season. We win our division, take 2nd in the West and play the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. I think we are big enough, and deep enough this year to beat LA in a 7 game series against an aging front line. I think we win 53 games and fall just two games shy of LA’s 55 win season. I think we establish ourselves as one of the elite home teams, and we continue to make noise on the road this year. I think a 41-41 season is laughable and a slap in the face to D-Will, Jerry Sloan, KOC and the enitire Utah Jazz organization. I would take Vegas or Kevin Pelton in anybet that has Jazz winning less than 50 wins this year!

Ganes ? Fez ? Haward ? Who are those guys ?
How many UJ360 people are we ? Close to 2000 … is everybody going to write a post on his own prevision ? It does not makes sense unless somebody wants to synthetise these previsions.
Please, take time to properly spell the names (Ger are you alive ?).
Please, take time to think if your post has an added value.
Sorry Kyler, nothing personnal, you are n° 356187 to write the same thing.
HAHAHAHAHA. Henri, you’re the man.
I thought this post would tell me where to place a bet that the Jazz win more than 41 games and make me lots of money this season. Can’t seem to find that information in this article tho.
@Henri: Talk about spelling you need to look in the mirror man..
Larry, you have two dots at the end of your sentence. Ha!
